Thanks Bill, the axial locker is out of stock everywhere as is the incision yeti front locker... I will look at the LURC one or I may do what you did, I presume you used silly putty?

I have the Locked Up spool, but being in Canada the shipping would be more than what the part is worth.

FI Spool - Lunchbox

I used the putty they sell for hanging pictures and posters on walls...not sure what it's called. Works really well and I would guesstimate that the front diff is 90% locked. Just enough give in a bind situation to let the front axles slip avoiding expensive front axle woes!!!!

After almost a year of being backordered, I finally have Axial's King Shocks Aluminum Caps & Collars set (AX31430) for the front shocks to match the rears.

Looking great, as per the usual for your rigs...

I wish I would have known of your need for those parts - I have the Bomber King kit shocks unused and unassembled...

('cause I don't want any blue on my Bombers)

Maybe I'll use them for a different project later.

Should’ve just gone with a yeti ha! Just kidding. It’s a nice looking rig.

Same situation than you, but I had ordered the Dlux yeti shafts and cups, with the locked version, then realized the axial locker is BO.

I ordered "Hot Racing Light Weight Unibody Differential Lock" (125R03 on amain). Hopefully the setscrew holes on the locker will match the ones on the axial locker.

may have to do a rear independent suspension on mine one day... how does it perform compared to the solid rear axle and IFS?

I prefer the the B2B IFS / IRS set-up over the B1B. The suspension is so plush. It's difficult to describe why I prefer the B2B in terms of performance, but I can tell you, it's a really fun rig to crawl, bounce and rock face climb.

Mine is coming together as a B1B but the turning radius is abysmal, I have test run it a couple of times but not with the wheel and tire combo I want, still waiting on slw hubs for those. I am hoping it will come together and I will like it. Time will tell...

maybe reincarnating it as a B2B will do it for me lol

I was able to get the B2B out for a few hours on Sunday afternoon with nostopinLucR...I know I have said this many times before, but I have to say it again, this is one hell of a fun machine to pilot. It's a perfect balance between slow crawling and fast bouncing.

I thought I had a mechanical issue with the transmission and/or differentials, the issue was intermittent and we couldn't figure it out but I was able to continue driving it. After I got home, I opened up the front diff, transmission, and rear diff and couldn't find any issues at all....turns out I had a loose/broken sensor cable wire. I should've know better; oh well, at least all the mechanical bits are cleaned and good to go!

Hi
I don't know if you still visit this thread but I have a question.

I know you built wheels with the 35mm chanquish beadlocks.
Did you use CI foams?
If so, did you have to cut or trim them in any way?
Do you have a secret trick?

I have not been able to mount my 2.2 MT/R on the 35mm chanquish even after trying all the tips people gave me...
I tried both 6.0 and 5.5 CI comp cut.
The bead is always uneven as if the foams are too wide or something.

If I use the stock MT/R foams it takes 5mins and it's perfect...

I'm just about to give up and buy Duratrax Deepwoods or the new voodoo Tires coming in February.

Sadly, I no longer own this B2B, I traded it for another rig. Regardless, I always use CI 2-stage foams and don't recall having any issues mounting these tires on the Chinese OMF wheels. There's so many clone wheels that maybe the ones you have are narrower, I'm not sure. I know for sure that I specifically purchased the wider version wheels.
