| Slight Clicking Noise
I have run about 20-30 packs through my Bomber and it's developed a slight clicking noise from somewhere in the trans or drive shafts. Whats the common culprit? Thanks in advance.

| Re: Slight Clicking Noise I believe Maslin had the same noise which turned out to be the spur cover. I can't search right now to provide a link.

Grub screw on pinion hitting the spur gear? Debris in the spur teeth? CV pins on the drive shafts loose - worn - blown out? Is it just when you pick the truck up and suspension sags? Or even when its sitting at ride height on the ground? Disconnect the drive line and try to isolate it better? |

Mine would ratchet on a hard launch or hard stop. The plastic spur gear was flexing and hitting something. Removed the cover completely, and installed the RRP steel slipper and the noise went away. Not a constant clicking, just 3 or 4 bangs. Check your driveshaft screws, especially the ones at the trans. They will back out and hit stuff. The inner ones are only accessible with the skid removed. Or by drilling 2 holes in the side. |

I had to grind a little on my spur cover. The slipper plate was making contact with it. I have a picture of what I did in the big RR10 thread, I think.

I have a constant clicking too only when the bomber is placed on the ground and throttle applied. I've been meaning to take a closer look; if I find anything I'll let you know. Thanks Maslin for the pics and I too have been meaning to drill holes to access the driveshaft screw at the output and inputs. Much better piece of mind that way.

My clicking only went away by adding more grease inside the trans. Hasn't come back either! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Also, if yall run in the water or mud at all check the the spool bearings. I've had the same clicking sound but mine is those bearing. Come to think of it I never had a problem till I replaced the stock locker for a incision spool.
