Not 100% but think Axial universals are preferred.

I got a set of Axial from the classifieds so I will run them as long as they last.

Not sure how much time for the Axial ones to get sloppy, but mine have about 20 packs through them now and they are holding up fine. If they get bad I will get the Incision ones to replace them, I got a pair for my Yeti and they seem very well made. The joints in them looks identical to the joints in the Axial drive shafts.

I have one pack of bashing through the Yeti since installing them. Everything is still nice and tight. I never had a problem with the dog bones on the Yeti, but I was ordering the new one piece servo mount from VP and figured they couldn't hurt.

I know the vanquish vvds for the yeti aren't that great as I hear so I figured with the incisions being more budget friendly they wouldn't be as great but guess I was mistaken I might order a set for the wraith and bomber

All shafts get sloppy over time. Every single one of them will wear the joints to some degree. Bang for the buck the best is axial universals. My vvd's are sloppy whores and I run them in my basher with an open diff to keep them alive. Not saying vvd's are bad in any way but I prefer universals.

I haven't followed the threads about the failures, so maybe I am in for a rough ride down the road. They are machined very well.

I run VP VVDs and Axial unis. Both are great. Unis have more steering angle but I've never noticed the difference. The only problems I've seen are with the VP Yeti VVDs. I had a problem with the pin at the output working its way out before I killed the first pack. VP took care of me and sent me replacements. I haven't had a single problem with AR60 style VVDs or unis.

This might be a dumb question. I've searched a bit; but, the answers seem to be the kind that would be buried several pages deep in any thread holding the answer. Yet another reminder - I am totally new to all of this. What is the difference between the Incision VDI and Vanquish VVD? Does one turn sharper or do they have the same degree of rotation? Is the material different? ...looks like both are steel.

Also, what is the difference between these and CVD's like SSD makes?

Vvd's are made from a higher quality of steel than the lower cost incision line.
