Default More scale, 1.9 or 2.2

Which is more scale, 2.2 or 1.9 tires on the bomber.

Currently love my 2.2 wraith, havnt done much for scale with it but thats not my priority for this rig. Its my dedicated crawler.

Thought of doing a scalelike 1.9 wraith as a trail rig but am considering the bomber as well. Much more a fan of the tubeframe chassis (i.e. wraith, bomber, yeti) compared to the scx10 based design although a scx10 hilux would be awesome (perhaps next project)

Always loved the look of the RR10 bomber, would love to do my next trail rig /crawler based off this design.

From what research I have benn able to find on the 1:1, the biggest tire was about 40 inches so 1/10 scale would be about 4 inches which seems to be 1.9 size.

This is assuming that the RR10 bomber is truly 1/10 scale.

From what I can see looking at pictures/videos of the 1:1 bomber, the 1.9 tires would be correct.

Looking for other opinion/views.

Default Re: More scale, 1.9 or 2.2

The Bomber is closer to 1/8 scale.

The full size version runs 39 inch tires on 17 inch rims. So the scale version would be about a 4.8 inch tire on a 2.2 rim. The Proline 1.9 KR2s measure out around that size when mounted up.
