mean looking rig! For the powerstrokes are they just the regular slash front and rears that bolted straight up or did you have to use the universal mounting kit?

You'll have to get the universal hardware kit for the upper shock balls. The kit does come with 4 so you just need one kit for both sets of shocks.

Yes, one universal mount kit does the job. The only downside of this shocks are the pistons. The shock is so tight even with 10wt oil front and rear. This weekend I have a race, let's see how it performs. |

Drill the pistons out a little bigger if needed, it's common practice in racing. Nice to see the 90/100 Slash setup out there, I thought I was the only one Piston Drilling Kit-1.1-1.8mm (8 bits) # CR233 from Schumacher RC Racing. |

How's the stock Yeti motor and ESC working out in it? I was planning on doing the same thing one of these days when I eventually get a Bomber or Axial makes a Bomber Kit. I too will take the 2 speed out and keep the Yeti just for speed.

I've gotta say after seeing Maslin's Bomber and yours running the 90/100 setup, I'm all over that! I've been playing with the 100 setup all around and I just can't seem to get the handling set up the way I want it. Especially since I've gone full on go fast with it, the sc setup seems to be a killer setup for overall handling. Good stuff |

I'm a little worried too if I'll have any rubbing issues. I'm currently running the MIP driveshafts with a centered Currie and thus far haven't noted any issues other than having to flip the male & female shafts originally to clear the spur. I'll hopefully soon be picking up a set of shocks so, I guess I'll find out...

MMX finally installed. Very tight but fits "ok". Put 12t pinion (64t spur, hd underdrive front and rear, with Incision spools) tested outside and miss some top speed. Changed to 15t... Was too late to try outside. (Thanks to the annoying Bomber design that need tear the whole truck apart to change a simple pinion... I'm used to the Yeti, which is fantastic simple to work on) Tried inside the house in low gear and still have plenty of power and low speed control for eventual crawl/trail. Tomorrow gonna be fun! (But probably I'll drop to 14t pinion, because 15 will be insane fast and impossible to control... And here we go again take all the screws...) Also another simple little change in the Axial sway bar, using the rod ends with stops to avoid the sway bar tuck in: |
