So that's a wrap on last nights progress. Up next, painting the interior, panels and start the cage. Need to do some reading about lexan painting since it'll be my first experience with it.

Just make sure you use proper lexan paint! I'm looking forward to seeing those wheels/tires all mounted up. The gold accents look pretty sweet!

Thanks kid, I'm really happy with how it's lookin. Almost mounted them up last night but the wheels need another coat and would've had to disassemble them today. Got paint for lexan and plastic. Originally I was going to go with one color but I'm thinking about adding some sort of flare to it. Luckily a friend is about to paint his scx2 so I'm Gna pay close attention to the process.

Do the shocks in the kit come with the machined delrin pistons? I didn't see them in your pic with all the shock parts.

1st pic of post 18 bottom left side. Not sure if they're Delrin or not. I didn't have to cut them of the parts tree though so maybe. They were in a separate bag that had the shafts, o-rings, washers, pistons etc.

Swapped out the servo arm and got started with the cage/body mock up.

Temp started dropping so I pulled the interior out to spray it with liquid mask and got back to the cage.
Did the scx2 @ the same time.

Front bumper and the battery access pivot. The flip hood is a really cool feature on this rig.

You now how one thing leads to another? Well I couldn't stop once the panels were on so, of course, I had to mock it up to the chassis.
Found my first mistake during this too. When I assembled the shocks I put the springs on backwards, front in rear and rear in front. So had to fix that real quick. I also noticed it had a nasty stance so I changed the shock locations around from where the instructions had told me to put the pivot balls in an earlier step.

On to one of my favorite parts of the build so far. Gold shoes.
Painted up the "bead screws" and mounted some rubber. These wheels have the vent holes, set mine up with 2 holes per wheel and the stock foams for now.

Obviously had to mount these things up and get some pics. Really dig the stance on this rig and the way it's come out in just 3 days. Tall enough to fit half a Hulk underneath.lol Unfortunately the paint I bought for the lexan doesn't look the way I had hoped so this is where I stopped and have to go paint shopping. So here's "Goldmember" in it's current state.
