HR Front Sway Bar for Bomber
 

Looks like HR has released an official Bomber front sway bar.

Has anyone tried it yet? Haven't seen anything that shows how it mounts.

Looks like those bar mounts would attach to the pre drilled holes just in front of the bottom of the battery tray.

With the links that high the uptravel will stop just after the servo passes the bumper?

I can't see how it would possibly work well with the arms crossing under the frame.

I love how they use an American flag in their packaging logo for their Chinese products. Then they have to put that stupid website address on every single piece so You can't possibly miss it from any angle. These guys actually make a few decent parts, they don't have to be so cheesy and misleading to get their products out there.

Those arms are a mile long though. Seems like they'd have to make the bar really stiff to make up for the leverage of the long link arms. I really liked my HR bars/arms but after some use the arm set screws wouldn't stay tight. Blue locktite and cleaning, bigger screws, no matter what I did. But they are the best looking anti-sway bars IMHO.

While I do care where something is made, I care much much more about how it works. Most of the HR stuff looks good, but it just isn't all there.

The bomber motor mount doesn't include the motor plate, and has plastic washers. What are the chances of those plastic washers holding a proper torque? The spools look fine on the outside, but the fit to the axle is a joke. Eventually it strips out, and you have 3 wheel drive.

The worst experience I've had with VP was the wrong instructions included with my f9 housing. I figured it out on my own and am very happy with the product.

Then this sway bar, I want to see it in action before I completely dismiss it, but I don't see how it can work.

Any update on your install? As Maslin pointed out, it looks as though some binding will occur at full compression since the arms mount inside of the chassis instead of outside. From the pictures it looks as though a longer rod could be inserted into the same bracket allowing for the arms to mount outside. Guessing this would throw the alignment with the shock mount off, but maybe it could be run flipped?

Neither does the VP motor mount. Both manufacturers sell them separately. Axial does sell them as a combo.

As for the washers....so what! You guys all jumped in my @ss about the fact that I felt VP should include screws with their Incision spool. VP includes 2 stainless washers in place of the plastic ones that HR includes. Surely if you have screws for your Incision spool you also have washers for your HR motor plate?

Just sayin'.

The shocks are right against the frame, that bracket is behind the shocks. No way to go between the shock and frame.

Haven't installed them yet - working on installing leading arms (trailing arms) from SSD. Will then sort out the sway bars once the shocks are done.

There is a bend in the arm right where the shocks are at. I think there is a pretty good possibility that you could flip the arms from L to R so that they start on the outside and then come to the inside right where the back of the shock is. May even mount in the same spot on the shock mount.

Inside to out, outside to in won't work, crossing under the frame rail is the issue. I don't believe there is room for the bar to pass between the frame and spring. The bar almost has to go from the front of the chassis backwards, like the ucfab (dlux?) mount that's out there.

Definitely need to see it mocked up that way. It may not be a problem for you and I with the shocks mounted further out. Still that zig/zag on the arm may hit toward the front of the frame if the taper is not great enough toward the bumper.

Not sure that my front suspension ever reaches full compression during a race anyway so it may be a non issue.

Their products seem decent, so why not be like INJORA and be proud of it?
