| Anyone using an AR60 diff skid plate?
I see a few AR60 diff skid plate options out there (DMG, AMF)...anyone using these or just bashing and replacing the housing as needed? If you are using one, please post a photo.

I have DMG skids on all my DLux modified AR60 axles. I think they're great. They protect the diff cover and bottom of the axle as well as the pinion and slide right over rocks like nothing. I'd avoid the thin aluminum AMF skids. If AMF made some stainless axle skids that'd be fantastic. The DMG skids also work with VP's OCP housing which is cool.

Running DMG on the rear diff of a wraith and a yeti. I noticed the front DMG skid would get caught during crawling, so I pulled it off and put on a vanquish diff cover with smooth sloped surface to it. A lot less hang ups and no damage to axle housing yet. They take a lot of abuse

I mentioned to AMF he should make a SS axle/pinion guard. I bet he would if more people asked him.

He made the stainless skid, don't wee why he wouldn't do the diff skid.

I have a T-Bone Racing rear diff skid plate. I also have a Traxxas Stampede and have their front bumper and that thing had saved my truck a number of times... I truly don't do any serious rock crawling with my Bomber, mostly speed, trails, some easy crawling and haven't had any issues with the setup of this diff plate. https://tboneracing.net/12044-tbr-re...l-rr10-bomber/ |
