I got one defective 2.2 Hyrax tire. The inner diameter was way too large and the 2.2 wheel fell through the hole. Proline replaced it quickly and I finally got them mounted on my 2.2 Gear Head EZ-Loc Five Star wheels. I then installed the combo on my Axial Bomber.

I also updated the firmware on my Castle Mamba Monster X. I was on the 1.80 beta. The new Crawler / Rock Racer mode is awesome, but now my Holmes Puller Pro whines way too loudly with the new software. I hope they fix that quickly!

I have removed the spare tire and spare tire carrier since these photos were taken. The first run with these tires will be tomorrow morning. Can't wait!

I love the Hyrax tires. I'm not sure I like them better than the TSL Super Swampers, but they are excellent tires.

The Bomber looks and performs much better without the spare tire.

The Rock Racer / Crawler Mode on the Castle Mamba Monster X is awesome. It's everything I wanted when I requested the feature. I'm very thankful that Castle made it happen.

Overall the Bomber performed great today. I couldn't be happier with this rig at this point.

Here's a short video of a a vertical rock climb / jump that is really just a blip of the throttle. Very fun.

If I wanted to shorten up the wheelbase of my Bomber maybe 1" to 1.5" what front links and rear trailing arms would get me there? I think both the front and rear could benefit from being shortened a little bit.

Not sure for front but it seems everyone uses twin hammers rear links for like, everything.
Blue monkey might have some goodies.

I got Wraith lenght trailing arms and rear uppers from JEC Racing. Should remove a good 0.5inch from the rear and align the pinion angle.

You could ask him for twin hammer lenght but then you need custom uppers.

For the front, I never heard of anything shorter.

I saw people using TH links. I would think they would be too short, but it's an option. Don't think anybody offers upper links though and I hate making custom links.

Blue Monkey is long dead.

Thanks. JEC makes lowers and uppers for the Wraith? I checked the site, but the Wraith trailing arms are out of stock.

Actually he makes all the links in Wraith lenght, front and rear.

I got a full set, front lower, front uppers, rear uppers and trailing arms plus the steering links.
All stainless and machined to perfection.

Just send him a message on Facebook Messenger, he answers pretty fast.

Really nice guy to deal with, he sent me the wrong rear uppers (bomber lenght) and replaced them for free even with the Canadian shipping fees.
