Default Ballistic17's Bomber build.

Picked up this chassis in a trade. Will be using whatever I can from the Wraith on this one. Axles, links, shocks. wheels, electronics ect. I will be getting a set of VP trailing arms and sway bars for it also.

Parts coming from this...

And going on this...

Saw this for sale, what a steal!

What are your intentions with it?

Thanks. Yeah it was a good deal. I am planning on taking most the parts off my Wraith and using on this. Will be my go to fun rig. Little speed when needed and still able to crawl if needed.

Do yourself a favor and skip the VP trailing arms. Almost any choice but stock is a better choice. The hollow ball retention design is awful and the 6061 aluminum they use is not a good choice for sliding over rocks. Blue Monkey and UCFab TAs from DLux both use 7075 and JEC makes some nice stainless steel arms. Congrats on the new Bomber.

Thanks for the info on the T/A's. I'll take a look at those other ones. Had the Ucfab on my Yeti and liked them. I am planning to read through your bomber thread when I have some time. lol

Screamer has made himself pretty clear in other threads about his trailing arm opinions ...especially the length. I have to say I agree 100% with his thoughts of "stock" length should have been Wraith length T/A's.

If you won't be crawling and just want to bash, go with stock Bomber length. For a mix, go with Wraith length. I use mine just for slow crawling and wish I would have gone all the way to Twin Hammer length. I have Blue Monkey Wraith length T/A's and feel that crawling and break over is better even with that small of a difference in length. Twin Hammer would have been better still.

Awesome info. Thanks. I was thinking of going Wraith length as I will probably be doing 70% bashing and 30% crawling. Will be getting the arms after the holidays though. Lol.

It has arrived...

Still waiting on the J.E.C trailing arms, VP sway bars, rear link mounts and rear drive shaft along with a few other things. But have it mostly together.

Picked up a DMG HD bumper from allanon1965 and got it today and installed. Now gonna try and see how I can get the Wertymade winch plate to fasten to it.

SO I went with the 7075 alum from J.E.C. Got them and the one was different from the other but he is sending me a new set. Great guy for sure.

Yes he is. Always real quick to respond to questions and his customer service is great. Plus, his products are bombproof and perform great. Can't go wrong.

I agree with calcagno45 - those trailing arms are sexy!

I had my Bomber out on the trail for the first time this weekend. With the stock wheelbase the breakover is pretty bad. I'm considering going with shorter links too.

Thanks guys. Can't wait to get them.

I went with stock lenght as I will be just running this where ever I can. LOL Will be my basher/ttc rig.

Well got the final upgrade for now for this rig. The J.E.C Racing trailing arms showed up today. Now just waiting on my custom FreqEsKinz wrap.

Picked up a DMG radiator mount and now am just waiting on the wrap from FreqEsKinz. Also need to figure out a way to mount the Wertymade winch plate with the DMG HD bumper. No place to mount the front of the plate. I have a couple ideas though.

Picked up a Incision motor mount to add some strength for the Tekin pro4 3300.

Also picked up a rear panel from Barndog Racing.
