I watched last night. Chassis looks awesome. Can't say I'm in a rush to give up $600 for it. Still want a Bomber eventually though and I certainly can't leave well enough alone historically.

It's a nice chassis, but I don't exactly get the point of it. I'm not sure why you would want to lose the flexibility of the stock, plastic chassis while adding tons of weight. This chassis won't flex. It will either take the hit or it will bend.

The waiting list on the ucfab chassis is 4 months .... I'm paying 800 for the bgr chassis with all the extras.. Only a 2 month wait all the factory parts bolt up ... Sway bar links light bar panels rc4wd fuel cell ... 550-600 is his thoughts on what he may charge to start .... That's not the definite price yet as far as I know Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

And although not " flexible " anyone with a race knowledge wants rigidity not flex ... And an aluminum cage from bgr weighs close to the stock plastic yet with more adjustability and strength .... If you look at all the bracing and welds there's not much of a chance you'll be " bending it " anytime soon Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

When I was talking about flex it had nothing to do with handling. My point was that the stock, plastic Bomber chassis will spring back after it takes an impact in a crash. If you bend a metal cage it's done for and you'll have to do manual repairs. I don't care what metal they are using, if you go fast enough and hard enough you're eventually going to have an impact that's going to permanently deform (AKA bend) the chassis. | |

When I get the chassis in 2 months I will be happy to post pics ..... And although you are correct most people that are spending the coin to buy one of these chassis also has the know how to maintain and repair them ..... I for one can tig weld and had planned to build my own but didn't want to build jigs and do geometry .... I can easily fix a bend or crack .... Most guys in this hobby know a welder that could replace a bent bar or heat and tweak a bend .... The initial cost is substantial and I agree with your concerns but where there's a will there's a way .......not only does it look super fresh it meets the rules for major competition and helps you pick up the ladies Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Personally, If I were dropping that kind of dough on a chassis, I'd want Aluminum...
