Default Bomber Build Need Help

I am looking at getting an Axial Bomber Kit and am looking at staying under $600 for the initial build.
Does anyone know if Castle Creations Sidewinder SCT ESC combo with 3800KV motor will work well on 3s Lipo in a Bomber?

Thanks for the help.

not as well as you will want if you are doing any crawling, hi speed bashing would be decent... go sensored if you go brushless

3800 on 3s is a ripper. Not going to win super crawl but for general bashing it's the shiat. Get the motor with a 5mm shaft and gear down and go have fun.

What he said. I run an unsensored Vanguard 3150kv motor on 3s in my Bomber. its a blast for tearing up and down the hills and rocks.

If you are cool with just bashing in a sense, go for it

How about something like this? I would like to do some light crawling but bashing is just as important.
Hobbywing 10.5t

or 13.5t

Been running the hobbyKING x-car 80amp and a trackstar 17.5t (1870kv) sensored setup and its awesome.

78 bucks SHIPPED from hobbyking and that included the USB dongol to be able to program the ESC. If you wanted a lil more speed a 13.5T on 3s would be good. the 17.5t is great for crawling and some wheelspeed but here and there i wish it had a smidge more... though that probably keeps me from breaking too many parts.
