Default Which Castle ESC should I run?

I'm having trouble making a decision on the ESCs, going between the new Mamba X or the Mamba Monster X.
Would the Mamba Monster X be more suited for the Bomber? Any other options out there??
I'm going to use the HH PP 3500kv motor on 3s
TIA

They both look upto the task and being able to put the drag brake on a toggle is a big deal imo.

The new Mamba X is noticeably smaller, easier to find a place to mount it - Also - it uses 4mm bullet motor connectors instead of 6.5mm.

It came out after I already bought the Mamba Monster X for my Bomber running a 3500kv HH PP.

I'm going to try mounting mine on a Wertymade electronics tray up front in between CarterFab inner fenders ahead of the battery box.

Yep - here's the link:

Carter Fab & Machine » Axial Bomber Front Inner Fenders

and the Wertymade Bomber electronics plate is here:

Wertymade RR10 Bomber Aluminum Electronics Mount Plate

It'll end up being basically boxed-up inside aluminum panels, with an aluminum hood above as well.

Wonder if I should run the fan or not - most people just remove it from the Mamba Monster X when just running a standard length 540 motor.

Been thinking about a second set of electronics for mine. I have a sidewinder 3, castle bec, and traxxas motor. It does great for crawling. But what would you guys recommend if I wanted to really crank some speed out of my bomber?
(Dont mean to hijack the post just dont wanna start another one).

More speed than the chassis can handle. It'll be plenty fast for you and still crawl very well.

I was thinking about doing this awhile back, and even bought that Wertymade plate you mentioned, but I didn't know what to do about the servo. Not to derail the thread, but what are your plans for the servo/Werty tray relationship as far as clearance goes?

Looks like I'll be going with the Mamba X.
I also thought about running it on 4s but I think a lower KV motor would be needed.

4s on a 3500kv is doable, a little crazy I think. Lanky says that he's running 4s on the 3500 and loves it.

Me personally, if I wanted to run 4s, I would drop to the 2200kv or at least 2700kv.

Last comment on thee Wertymade plate - I haven't completed my build yet, but they make both this plate and a similar plate for mounting a servo winch in the same location - hoping that they are properly designed.

I do see some users used the spacers it comes with to elevate it a bit for clearance depending on the servo mount used,

If it doesn't fit, well at least it was inexpensive - and I could relocate it above the skid with some trimming or drilling if needed.
