| Re: Yota truggy Couple shots from recent trips to Tahoe and Rock City. I’m beefing up the front with dual shocks for those “bomber lines”. Reconfiguring the headlights into rock lights one way or another. |

| Yota truggy It’s been a while, but here’s an update. It’s 2019, and I decided to try to redo the suspension on the yota. It was capable and everything, but it felt kinda stiff or like rigid with stiff dampening. Probably doesn’t make sense, but I had to overload the front suspension by running 4 shocks, in order to compensate/balance the rear ta setup with sway bar. Just felt like the way it was setup it was fighting itself. So I went ahead and addressed that. Wraith lower links and inverted wraith style link mounts to the axle. Bomber uppers. I couldn’t find a decent pinion angle in any other combination (wraith uppers, flipping around the link mount, backing off rod ends to get longer links...) Mounted the shock to the fuel cell mount, the axle, and used softer springs. Works real well, crawls better, and I don’t see much difference at high-speed either, as compared to trailing arms. Articulates way better, and feels more balanced and grounded too. It’s not too much shorter wheelbase than ta setup but it counts! Also just feels lighter and balanced. Was able to return to 2 standard shocks up front. Last edited by kennydoggins; 01-13-2019 at 07:39 PM. |

The rear links look good! I may want to try this as well. What weight shock oil are you using? |

Do you think I would have similar results by mounting the rear shocks the way you have, but still keep the stock trailing arms? I'm trying to keep a tight budget and eliminate the torque twist... trying to not spend money on a sway bar

| Re: Yota truggy Sway bar is the way to go with trailing arms. That being said, free mods are also the way to go, so might as well try it.

Thanks for the input! I'll have to test it out once the snow melts off.
