Default MMX Drag Brake Setting for Heavy Bomber

When I am crawling and switch drag brake on, I want it to hold. Right now I am still getting roll. It's a beefy bomber. Wondering what you guys set your drag brake at? I have MMX and HHPP 3500kv.

Thanks.

What % do you have it set at in Castle Link? 100% should lock that puppy still.

Depends on your gearing also. But if you want a solid hold set it at 100%. You could also use the aux wire to be able to adjust drag brake on the fly with a 3rd channel. That's one of the most useful pieces of the new mamba x line.

With my Monster X i use the third channel set to drag brake so I can change it from 0-100% on the fly. Its a great feature!

Yup. With their lastest firmware update they now offer the Rock racer/Crawler mode on the aux. I have drag on this set at 0% for Racer and 100% (full) for Crawler, just like how I had it set before on the Drag Aux.

The difference now is when it's on Racer, I have "with Reverse" setting which you gives you brakes while driving and you have to wait a second after fully stopped to reverse.
in Crawler mode, it gives you "Crawler reverse" which is instant reverse.

Perfect

But incase you knew all of that, I do get some slight roll on really steep inclines on full drag. My rig is a little more than 8.5lbs with battery.

Depends on the motor... I've noticed that my PPXL holds much much stronger then my standard... that being said they both hold much stronger then my HobbyWing 3660.... on my solid axle bomber I'm running the standard PP 3500kv, I have the drag brake set to 10%. I have my aux channel setup to index rock race/crawl modes. When in rock race I utilize 0% drag brake, in crawl I utilize 100%.... it still doesn't hold a dead stop in serious declines or inclines...
