Default rear axle options.

Lost a rear axle. Was looking at replacements. would I benefit with a center axle under my bomber? Sock RTR, Used for crawling.

Thanks in advance.

You would want to consider keeping the driveshaft as straight as possible, to reduce U-joint stress, avoiding the sharpe angle..

However, a centered rear end allows for a longer drive shaft which reduces some angle (compound now) and also reduces plunge. Drawback to centered pumpkin is just that, its in the middle to hang up on stuff. Cool aftermarket housings off the top of my head that everybody knows: VP, SSD, RC4WD and my personal centered favorite, Metalconceptsrc. Wide axle, no lockouts. All the Trophy Truck guys run the Metalconcepts product because they take a beating, and looks like a 1:1 Tube Works rear end. (More of a U4 look.) They also have new HD axles. https://www.metalconceptsrc.com/

Throphy truck & RR10 are different worlds..on the Yeti RR, SCORE, CP for sure..but why complicate the drivetrain if not a must..follow the driveline's natural course..but opinions are A-plenty..

I just got one of my projects driveable last night and it's using a centered SSD D60HD. It's a plastic housing, but it's beefier than the stock ar60 with thicker wall axle tubes and no need for lockouts. It comes with truss, shafts, 13mm pinion bearings, diff cover, carrier bearing caps, link mounts, and all necessary hardware... a steal at $29! I'm running a 3656 brushless setup on 3s, and I plan on launching this rig at the dunes, so I'll find out how durable it is soon enough, it's cheap enough to experiment with.

The change in driveline angle with a centered pumpkin under a bomber would be minimal, but as already said, it is more prone to getting hung up when crawling.

Side trap of centered rear axle in Bomber, depending on drive shafts used, can also be interference with the spur cover.
Just one other thing to consider.
