Nice looking Bomber!

I'm not sure if Hoyt is your name or last name, but if it is you have tons of decal options because of Hoyt archery.

Ha, well a long time ago I used to be an avid hunter and that's where I got the user name from. Now that the boys are getting older I hopefully can start back up to get them out. But some of my buddies have been telling me horror stories about the amount of ticks out there during turkey season.

Well its been two years and i honestly have not touched the bomber much. My wraith was my go to for hill basher/crawler. Now that the wraith has been torn down for parts I’m gonna make some changes to the bomber. Although i could see myself buying another wraith.

Been really into the rock bouncers and my entire back yard is one big hill so why not give it a go.

Its in the early stages so far but its slowly taking shape. Im not copying a 1:1 per se but did get a lot of inspiration from larry krog’s new chromoly bouncer. I like the buggy look of it but will also be putting in my own lines.

Bomber trans staying for now.

Larry's bouncer is indeed a sweet ride!

Liking your approach - I am a fan of Bombers done up bouncer-style.

I don't have the tools, living situation, or skills (for that matter) to do my own cages at this time, so I'll be watching your work with interest...

I do drive my heavily upgraded Bomber like a bouncer, most of the time.

Bomber looks good Durok.

Hopefully I can create something that resembles a truck u see on the hills. My biggest task in this will be how to hide the wires, battery, electronics etc. We shall see.

Thanks

Build rear end
Make a battery mount
Get sway bar mounted
Add more rod for appearance
Etc etc etc

The bouncer is coming together nicely! You plan on doing any interior?

No, no interior for now. Not with that giant bomber trans. For now will be using bomber interior and a couple side panels to block out electronics.

If and when i switch to wraith trans i will make a full interior or use the wraiths interior.

Will have some more pictures soon. Wrapping up a battery box for the front and just about done with the rear. Also replacing a couple pieces of metal up front because i didn’t like the bends. Build Still seems never ending at the moment.

Thanks

Alright so some update pics of the progress

Im calling the rear done. Got shocks mounts in, sway bar mount in and fuel cell mount in.

Started working on battery box for up front. Cut down a battery tray from my wraith to fit my 3s 2250’s or a touch bigger if necessary. Will be mounted to the top of the receiver box. Not sure if this is gonna last as the small box was made to only hold a receiver. Will have more pics when i get everything back together. Will use piece of lexan on top velcro’d to the battery.

And just some work on the front. Still might change out a few pieces of rod till i get the look i want.

The hood, cowl, pointy thing up front will open up to allow for battery change. Mounted it to the plastic hood piece from the bomber body. Again kinda flimsy material so might have to make my own hinges in the long run.

Thanks for looking

Bro!!! Making me want to fab up a chassis again. One thing I’d change about the bomber chassis is the upper shock mounts are to low, front and rear, in my opinion. I want lots travel but low slung. I think your mounts look better.

Looks sick. Nice work.

Got the paint and panels all done. Made a set for outside the cage and one for inside. Nice to have options. I couldn’t decide on a color so i just went with silver for now.

Dude! You brazed tiny nuts onto the chassis for panel mounts?! What the heck? How you do that and not get crap in the threads? Braze them in the tap them again?
