Default AKatz's Super Twin

So here goes my first build thread so bear with me.
Started with a very lightly used bomber last summer that came with a hot racing 2 speed and a brand new useless castle sw3 sensorless combo.

So after a couple runs I started with incision links, vp trailing arms and a savox 1210. Then threw in a mmp/roc412 3100kv I had laying around. And once the stock tires all started tearing off the wheels I picked up some used u4's from the for sale section here and some China methods and that was a huge improvement!
Ran it like this the rest of the summer and did a few local comps and did well till my shift servo burnt up and while I had it tore apart I decided I was going to start slowly accumulating parts to make it better. Well and I got my scx2 kit and was pretty busy building and driving that lol!

So after all winter deciding what I wanted and slowly buying stuff here's what I ended up with.

Carter fab body panels and inner fenders
Wertymade front plate
Exo rear light bar and radiator
Vp stage one kit
Vp lockers
Vp methods with .475 hubs
Incision vdi's
Incision motor mounts
Axial hd gears od front stock rear
Powerstroke xt's out back
Powerstroke slash rear up front
Proline slash spring kit
Dlux trusses front and rear
Mamba monster x
Castle 1415 series 2400kv sensored
Castle quick connect duo
Proline hyrax with proline dual stage foams

Still have a few more thing to do and a few things to get but that's the majority of it.

I'll get more up later on today when I have more time but this is a good start I think.

Thanks fellas! I'll get the rest up once I'm home later. Just finished it yesterday and took it out for the maiden voyage.

Default AKatz's Super Twin

Started with the dlux trusses, had to use jato ends to get some extra length from the upper links until I make some longer ones, painted the braces flat black so they don't stick out like a sore thumb.
This pic shows how much extra I needed. About .450". Also had to hack the stock shock mounts down to accommodate the trusses. Have some vp wraith mounts on the way.

All in all the instal was pretty easy.
Was able to modify the exo light bar to bolt up to 2 holes in the top of the cage and worked out pretty well. Used a piece of plastic for a radiator support and it wedges up against the light bar nicely.
Also had the Wife paint the fuel cell.
Went with olive drab for the body.
Also painted the rings on the methods until I get some locked up rc rings.

Realized I don't have the right pic of the radiator showing the brace so I'll have to take another.

Yep pretty cool man. Check mine out. Not as many upgrades as yours but some pretty sweet VP axle housings with a Mamba X/Tekin Pro4 HD 3000kv and Incision links like yours. I'm pretty new to the hobby but having a lot of fun.

Nice man, love the white zombie! I may get some vp housings one day but I like the dlux trusses way to much and not sure if the front is compatible and I'm not giving up servo location that the dlux front truss allows.

Good point. I really like the servo mount location you've got. Never even new that was a possibility.

Nice looking build so far. Will be following along. My next builb will be a Bomber which may transform into a B1B.

Also picked up some delux big bore shock balls to mount the shocks but realized they are a lot wider than the mounting slots so I had to cut out the outside of the slots and bore out the existing mounting hole. But now they pop right in and are pretty solid. Used up some of the stickers I've had laying around.

Put a vent in to allow the mmx get some air.
Got everything soldered up and ready to drop in.
And she's on her feet again after 6 months! The shocks seemed super stiff even with the lighter springs on so I decided to try it without the dual rate setup to start with since I was very happy with the stance.

I will say the castle duo is super handy, no more tearing the truck apart to use castle link! Still need to setup the aux wire function to adjust drag break on the fly but I couldn't wait any longer to give it a test run.

Only made it about 15 mins before I lost a chub screw so I was done, and realized I had a few more backing out in other places lol! But this thing is an absolute beast!
Thinking I'm going to switch the shocks back to dual rate style and try that also because I'm not sure running without them is helping a whole lot on the higher speed stuff.

Anyone care to share their powerstroke setups? This thing weighs 8lb 14oz rtr and I'm running blue springs in the rear and green up front with TLR 40wt.
