Axial Universals are what you seek. In that year that I've been using them on my Wraith and my son's Bomber, I've only ever broken one. And my son was driving my Wraith. It has mucho torque. |

Steel beef tubes installed in her front with axial universal shafts, rear aluminum beef tubes with VP chromo shafts all installed. Got my new wheels and JEC rings on with the jconcept scorpios. They're huge.

not totally sold on the tires, not even remotely sold actually. Ok, I flat out hate them. In other news, I sheered the ears off my savox servo. |

Bombers need a servo with metal casing. Look to the Savox 1283, Holmes HV500, Savox 2290, Protek 370TBL etc.

| Re: Duke's Bomber oh its getting a promodeler, I just hadn't got around to it yet. I went ahead and order new end caps for the 1230 so I can transfer it over to my Wroncho built MJ.

I went for that same package of VP updates (including the clamps) and Promodeler servo - except I am using SSD Ti steering inks (and c-hubs/knuckles). Oh, and on a Bomber - not a Yeti. Great choices!

For what its worth, I bought some of those cheap 20kg servos off ebay because everyone was raving about them... those things are pure garbage. I'm talking on the wroncho with xr10 knuckles and Cs like maybe 25 degrees... absolute junk.

I like the red you used on the panels, how did you get a flat or satin look? Is that hobby paint or just regular spray cans?

Stripped all the stickers off the stock panels, gave it a good scuff and wash to try and smooth previous scars out. Used some self etching primer made for plastics and followed it with regular off the shelf spray paint. It was actually supposed to be like a flake look, but this is how it turned out and I wasn't upset about it.

Seems like you could have a couple of sets of panels and switch things up often. I kind of like that versus having to buy and paint a whole body like I have to do on my short course trucks. That servo tore up that plastic mount real good!

| Re: Duke's Bomber I'm gonna keep these panels... after seeing KennyLoggins Toyota truggy bomber, I've been inspired. Now, I'm a jeep guy, and I'm a finance manager for Ford, so I can't rightly do a Toyota, but I'm gonna take some measurements and I wouldn't be surprised if you don't see a raptor or Comanche truggy sooner than later

I'm used to short course truck bodies, are crawler bodies much narrower? On a Bomber you want the wheels to be outside the body for articulation correct?
