| Aftermarket shock caps & collars compatible with Axial shock bodies?
Are there any aftermarket shock caps & spring collars that are compatible with the stock Axial King shock bodies? I just finished putting together the shocks from my Bomber kit last night, and as great as they look, the blue is not going to look good with the orange theme that I'm planning for the truck. I'm considering stripping the anodizing off of the stock caps & collars, but I would prefer orange anodizing over bare aluminum if I can do it. Is there anything out there? |

I have used the ST Racing shocks caps on other trucks, they are good quality and not too expensive. CNC Machined Alum. Shock Caps for Axial Wraith (4 pcs) Orange Haven't seen spring collars in orange though. |

Yeah, this definitely warrants more investigation. I think I'm going to grab some of my Traxxas shock caps and see if they thread on. If these are indeed a standard 10mm bore, then I have to imagine that they're using a thread pitch that's probably the same as somebody else. If that's the case, then it'll open up options for me. My other option, which is starting to look like the most likely solution, is to strip the anodizing off the caps & spring collars to make them bare, and dye the blue plastics black. |
