Has anybody put car or truck bodies on their bomber?
I would like to put a muscle car body on, maybe scale up some kind of Mad Max atrocity. I have mocked up some ideas in PaintShop, and am going to look from there.
Further to this, can somebody give me the between tyre measurement of the Bomber, I can't find that dimension anywhere?

Stage 1. Started with cheap camaro body. Looking good. Mustang will follow.

It's called wheelbase, 375mm.

I think you can forget 1/10 TC bodies. Long wheelbase MT could fit.

that's gonna depend on the tires and wheels you run, big difference in the back of the front tire to front of the back tire from standard size 2.2 to say Jconcept scorpio that I run on mine that's a whopping 5.98 inches tall.

Mine still has stock tires and even with all the trimming I did it still rubs. So I don't think you could go bigger and be able to run a body.

You can always run wider hexes to push the wheels out some for more clearance

Pictures as promised and the track width on mine is about 8 inches but I'm not running stock wheels. Also you can see just how much trimming I had to do.

In the mad max theme, here is a C7R vette body mocked up over a set of AR60 f/r axles, with axial 2.2 wheels and wildpeak tires.

Wheelbase 370mm.
Width to outside of tires 290mm.
Width of body at the front tires 310mm.

There is a short wheelbase version as well.

I trying to jack your thread but, motostormer, thanks for testing that out.
I have one sitting here and I wanted to try it, but was not sure how it would fit.
I have the hi-lift too.

Anyways, I know there are a few build son here that should have whatbyour looking for. That's the great thing about this hobby, you can squeeze stuff on and make things look pretty cool. I know a Barbie Volvo station wagon fits on a short wheelbase scx10. So just keep your eyes out. If it fits and you like it, roll with it. Good luck!
