Finally something worth updating here. Been waiting forever for parts and changes and ideas. So I ended up changing the output shaft for a longer one with a lightned mount. The shaft mounts to the gear with much heavier 3mm hardware. I also upgraded to HR lightened hard gears. I didn't stop there. I also searched to find the lightest slipper I could find. I settled on the avid racing triad evo. I had to file the pressure plates and drill out the spur gears to get them to fit the 5 mm shaft. I'm running 48p gears now. My finished skid now sits at 190gr. It started out over 230gr before the changes. I picked up a pair of HH puller 500 motors on the cheap. One will be going in this bomber. It weighs only 135gr. The tekin fxr will be providing the current to feed the beastly motor. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk |

Here is a direct comparison to a stock skid. The weight savings is tremendous. 141gr savings to be exact. You will notice in the pictures the difference in the elevation of the motor mounts. I found out that the standard links will not work. Gotta figure this out. I want to run titanium links to save weight. I think I will buy rods from vanquish and bend them to my liking. Undecided right now. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk |

And yes, very much worth the effort. You'll be amazed at what the car can do with proper geometry and set up. I'm still on my original skid after a couple of 5k races and a ton of training runs. They're surprisingly durable. | |

Is this skid still a prototype or is it for sale?

Their for sale. Get a hold of high altitude performance. I've got one for my bomber.

I'm interested in this for a future upgrade, and I am not on FB. Is this a mostly "bolt in" upgrade? If not, what is required to add to an existing build? Specifically, suspension links and driveshafts. Lastly, is this compatible with a 2-speed and/or dig transmission?

From what I saw it's not a kit. You get parts from a few places like shapeways. And I don't think it's compatable with dig or 2 speed.

| Re: Moto's bomber I found the parts that are available on Shapeways. Where can I find the rest? Does anyone have a way besides FB to contact the maker(s)?
