Are you sure this is for the shock cap?
I though the shock cap balls were bigger than the rod end balls.

I used these bushings and they are 7.5mm in the hole.

No, I'm not sure. That's why I prefaced my statement by saying I forget the size of the balls that the King shocks use.

Other than a lot of screws, they were REALLY easy to put together. The inner screws really are not needed other than to provide weight. I have a set of their 1.9s on my TRX4, they look good and have had no problems with them.
Do those RCLIONS ship from within the US or from China?

"Get it as soon as May 23 - June 14 when you choose Standard Shipping at checkout."

Mine shipped from China - when you see those kinds of expected arrival dates on an Amazon listing, that's what you are usually working with.

Ah I missed the dates. At least they're honest. I've ordered from Amazon, it took forever to arrive, and when I got it the product was from China. Haven't ordered much from Amazon since.

I obviously procrastinate very badly, so it hasn't mattered that much in my case...

Lately I've ordered from all over the place - for example I ordered those tiny brass bushings that go in steering knuckles for super cheap - and they took so long I completely forgot that I had ordered them!

Got a tiny envelope in the mail with Chinese characters all over it - was like, "What the heck is this?"

I am still waiting on a super cheap spare wheel mount, and hard springs for GMade XD Diaphragm 103mm shocks.

Have a feeling that my heavyweight Bomber build would eat up every bit of travel at rest using the standard medium springs!

I think it is finally done, although I am eyeing that pile of unused pieces on the parts trees, wondering what I missed....

I will say that I do not like how the figures turned out all all. The color on the Testors can was a much darker sand/tan (going for khaki for obvious reasons). Meh, easy enough to repaint another one.

Now, on to the rocks. With the battery installed it is just a bit nose heavy, and no where near the 60/40 I normally try to shoot for, so I am thinking there is some front-end weight in this truck's future.

Had its first comp today. In fact, had its first anything today, other than bench testing it has not been ran at all. Overall I like the way it ran, I do need to shift some weight around and likely get rid of the spare tire. The big question, how to add weight up front. I could go low-cost, and just add weight to the tires, or go the Gucci route and get some VP gear.

For cheap way, add some beeftubes if you don't have the VP housings.
Then wheel weights as beef patties or the chinese equivalent on ebay.

Not so cheap you could go for brass knuckles

Ha! There was a guy named Scott with a grey/silver Bomber on its maiden run, talking about ditching the spare, and asking about Gmade XD aeration shocks for the Trx4 he brought out... just sounded too familiar to me! Carry on!

Great looking Bomber!

Most Axial kits, and even RTRs, come with lots of extra parts. Don't sweat it.

Even my RTR Vaterra Ascender K10 Chevy came with extra parts, including a set of servo mounts to change the location from transverse to longitudinal...

Seriously, why didn't the kit come with these in the first place?

These have been on back-order forever, but my LHS just got a flood of Axial parts. Funny what happens when your new parent company actually pays the bills.

Just installed these, soooooo nice, so easy, and the way it should have been from the get-go.

As far as the truck itself goes, tuning continues, but overall I am very pleased with it. From time to time I have seen the suspension load up and flip the truck, which is due to the sway bar. I am using this as a crawler and not a bouncer, so I am looking at putting rear steer on it.

Somehow I screwed up the paint job on the panels, they paint isn't adhering well. I have painted up my fair share of bodies and never have this problem, I did all of the usual prep, but something weird happened.

Did you use polycarbonate paint?
I use tamiya ps and it won't even scratch unless i rub metal tools or screws on it.

I washed the panels and did a light scrubbing with 1000 grit paper

Tamiya paint, washed with light dish soap and green scrubby pad, same as the rest of the lexan I do. Normally hard bodies are what gives me fits, this is the first lexan I have boned up is a good many years.

Where do those silicone bushings go? A pic would be appreciated. I am about to build a Bomber and have o lycka a few more bits and bobs to get. Not counting the kit itself.
