John HH I only see the 3500 in the XL version, is that correct and will be a great motor to run for crawling the Bomber.

Rumpelhardt are you running stock motor gear

We are waiting for more 3500 standards, should be a week or two. The XL doesn’t have great startup, it’s designed for the yeti.

With the 3500 standard and Mamba X or Mamba Monster X, would stock gearing be good or would I benefit to gear down.

JohnHH, I've got a CC 1415 2400kv and Mamba Max speedy. I ran the maiden voyage yesterday. I have a Frankenstein build. I personally think it may need more power/brute grunt on the bottom. No drag brake, maybe that is the issue? It will also be geared way taller, so maybe the motor hasn'tbeen put to work. I'm wondering if a Momba X will bring my rig to life. Granted, I haven't programmed anything on what I already have so I don't know the performance tune, but is my setup strictly built to go fast?

EDIT/Fix: Bad clutch. Remedied that and holy cow, climbs like a goat and screams all out! MMX time and I'm golden.

I'm running a Robinson Racing slipper and hardened pinion gear. I don't remember the gearing off the top of my head.

The standard will have more torque, I'm not 100% sure but the stubby might have a tad smother startup, and size/weight.

I run the Sidewinder 8th with 2650 motor in my Yeti, crawls ok with a ton of power on demand, Bomber is getting the same set up...

I started with a mamba X and 1410 3800kv on 3S with 16/64 gearing and the axial 2 speed. It was rapid. I then changed to the higher ratio 2nd gear and changed back to 12/64. Speed was still most impressive.

I then took that out and put in a Mamba Monster X and 1515 2200KV. Changed to 15/64 and now run it on 5S. Its rapid, torquey and has superb battery life, as I rarely have to use full power.

Just a 3000mah 20c from hobbyking. Can't think of the make...could be a flightmax. Fits in standard location, similar size to a 5000mah 3S venom.

I have the Mamba X and the 3000kv SCT motor for my Yeti kit that I'm currently building. Hopefully I'll have a trail report by next week.

For my Bomber I'm thinking about replacing my Castle slate can with a 40mm 1/8 scale sensored motor from RCJuice.
