What's up guys. So I've been wanting to build a bomber for a few months now but I've been waiting for two reasons. 1. I've been gathering the funds to build it like I want from the start for the most part. 2. The reason I started this thread. I wanted to run the Castle Mamba X with the Slate series 3800kv motor but every place I look hasn't had them for a while now. (Did they discontinue the combo?) I'd like to still run the Mamba X since I already have the Castle Link, but I'm not sure what motor to run with it. So does anyone have any recommendations on a sensored brushless motor (preferably around the same specs) that would work well? I guess I should also mention I'll mostly be bashing it around with some slow and fast trailing as well. Thanks! |

Puller Pro standard in the KV that suits your setup best or if you're competing the Puller Pro R 540-L 4100kv Rock Crawler motor. Sent from my LGMP450 using Tapatalk |

They convinced me to get the Trailmaster Pro in 3300kv, but there's a 3800 option as well. I have not run it yet, been building mine as well. Reports are quality motor, saves you a little $$ over a 'puller pro'. I cannot tell you the exact differences, but it was out of my budget. My build is currently at about $800 as it is. Ouch. ![]() |

I have the trailmaster 3300kv and Mamba X in my wraith. I think it rips.... It's all about perspective though

Thanks for the reply. I'll look into that one. Won't be doing any competing since there isn't much interest around my area in RC in general much less crawling and scaling. I'll look into the Puller Pro. I'll look into the trailmaster as well. I'm seeing on some of the sites that the castle combo I wanted might be back in stock in late November. If I end up waiting that long it'll be an early Christmas present ![]() ![]() Last edited by THX_138; 12-11-2018 at 09:27 PM. |

I went from Castle 1410 3800kv (green can) to Tekin Roc412HD 3100kv. Super happy with performance now. Torque for days.

Plus-1 on MambaX - the Castle linking and programming is nothing short of amazing. IMO the 3300kv on 3S is too fast - picking up a 2S battery as I think it works better, flips less. LOL And the motor doesn't get hot on 2S. I don't think there's a better deal out there than HH TrailmasterProBL - great sensored motor at a very good price. |
