Re: Sensored brushless motor and esc for under $200 200$ won't get you far for U4 racing... Pay once, cry once : Holmes puller pro 540-L 4100kv with a Mamba X Actually both were discounted for black Friday on Amain Hobbies, maybe they are still there for cyber monday Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk |

I was also looking at the crawler edition castle motors but their out of stock. How do you think that’ll compare to the Holmes hobbie puller? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I ordered the puller pro but everywhere seems to be out of the mamba X esc.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I actually ended up spending a little more than I wanted and got the mamba monster X extreme 1:8 scale, that should work good with the puller pro right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Sensored brushless motor and esc for under $200 Yes but it's over the top and very big. Might be hard to fit it inside the cage of the bomber Mamba X is enough for 1/10 scale. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk |
Re: Sensored brushless motor and esc for under $200 The Mamba Monster X is basically an over-sized Mamba X with heavier-duty internals allowing it to power bigger and heavier vehicles. Same feature list and capabilities otherwise. Biggest issue is finding somewhere to mount it in the Bomber, as there isn't a whole lot of room... I've got one of each. |
Re: Sensored brushless motor and esc for under $200 In my Yeti I run a Mamba X ESC with a Hobbystar Pro4 sensored motor. I'm very happy with that combination, and it cost me well under $200. I like the motor so much that I'm considering replacing the sensored Castle slate motor in my Bomber with another one. https://www.rcjuice.com/motor-esc/br...sct-motor.html |

Pulled the trigger on the mamba monster x, hopefully it fits. Thanks again for the advice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Sensored brushless motor and esc for under $200 It will fit, you just have to get a little creative - plenty were installed before the Mamba X was released with the smaller case... |
Re: Sensored brushless motor and esc for under $200 Personally I'd have stuck one of these in & spent the other $35 on hardened pinions & steel spur https://www.amainhobbies.com/hobbywi...020412/p604312 |
Re: Sensored brushless motor and esc for under $200 I just noticed the Holmes hobbies shaft size is 3.175mm, seems like an odd shaft size. I have 3mm pinions do you think that’ll work? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
