| Sealed bomber front diff?
Hi guys, wondering if there is a mod out there for a front sealed diff for the bomber? Before I try and fabricated something lol... I know about getting the diff cup and installing diff gears out of an SMT10 with some hard silicone ear hole pluggers or other stuff, but is there a solution like a silicone sealed diff cup? I'd want a stiff front diff for the ability to not flip over so easy but still to crawl good. I've been told, a front diff setup is the cats meow in terms of the bomber hauling butt lol... Thanks -Spence |

I thought the AR60 came with a seal to use fluid inside the diff? Pretty sure you can copy the yeti front diff setup. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk |

Hmmm, its pretty cheap to try, I mean AX80002 looks like it has spots for seals on the inside Of course i'd need the smt10 gears and pins and I think the AX80002 which are stock for the bomber. And it seems the machined axial diff gears I have, have slots for seals too on the inside, wow this should be easy Last edited by Spence; 03-19-2019 at 08:13 PM.

All you should need are the gears and the red o rings, there should already be a paper gasket that seals between the diff cup and the ring gear, even on rigs with stock lockers. Sent from my SM-G960W using Tapatalk |

Plastic AX80002 case works, kinda, for a while. It'll pull the screws fairly rapidly & trash ya spider gears in the process. Ali diff cups tend to be stiffer, gears last longer (though not bullet proof) & you can blue loctite the screws in. hot-racing & rc4wd are about the 2 remaining options (GPM from HongKong used to but supply is hit n miss lately) Get some 7x10mm shims & 3x5mm shims to adjust the spider gears otherwise the mesh can be a bit sloppy & that breaks stuff. |

leave the front locked and run the rear unlocked that seems to handle the best for my driving style that way your front is always pulling hard

It's always better to lock the rear and open the front to keep turning radius good and push the truck up-hill If you want the front to pull harder, I would just use rear underdrive gears which would also reduce torque twist. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
