| New RR10 Bomber, servo inop in minutes
Yeah, not impressed. Is this unusual? I have a 2S 5000 LiPo fully charged, fresh alkalines and thisthing was working for maybe less than 2 minutes. No grinding but I hear it running and the wheels won't rotate. Everything else lokko great and works great but this is a total buzzkill. |

Yup RTR Ready to replace These servos are crap, get a real one. The bomber needs a very tough servo for the big 2.2 wheels. I would spend on a high end brand then never have to worry again. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk Last edited by Jboucher; 03-28-2019 at 06:08 PM. |

The plastic servo throw lever stripped , I am surprised at how light and cheap this stock plastic one is. I am running it and it clearly is bigger than my SCX-10 and this thing works well for now. I will get a new replacement servo asap, I know this stock one will be going out soon. Of course, the stupid question. "whats a good one to buy"? Is replacement "plug and play"? |

Plug and play maybe, but the stock ESC from the RTR is also steaming crap so you most likely will need a BEC to plug the servo on your battery. You can also get a high end model from HITEC, savox, promodeler, reef etc. For my kit I went with a Holmes Hobbies shv500v2. It can plug directly on 2s to 4s without a BEC. Simple to install and super strong. All the high end models will run you over 100$. You could also try a chinese PowerHD 20kg, many people have had good results and at 20$ it's cheap to replace when you kill it. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk |

All but the motor and radio/receiver is basically toss away rubbish. Replace the esc with a Hobbywing 1080 for $40, maybe get a 21t 550 for $20 while you're in there, I recommend either a Holmes Hobbies or a Traxxas. As for servo, I have the ProModeler 470 ($100 and made in the USA) has more than enough power (470 oz-in) with a 16mm horn on 7.4v from the BEC in the 1080 (remember, the shorter horn you use, the more torque you get, though you have to consider you get more throw with a longer horn. I get approximately 698 oz of torque with my setup). Sent from my SM-G960W using Tapatalk |

Correct me if I'm wrong but I dont know if a 550 will fit in the bomber because of space issues. As for a servo i just purchased a savox 2290 brushless which should be best however...I run the HW 1080 in my Traxxas with the JX 30kg waterproof in my trx4 defender and it runs amazing and is super affordable. Also spend the 6-11$ and get yourself an aluminum servo horn.

550 fit and you could go bigger even. The Wraith had space issues with its transmission, the bomber is fine Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk |

Not only can you get 550 motors other than the Titan 550 in it, but you can also shoehorn in a Mamba Monster if you're motivated. Not long after this picture was taken I replaced the stock servo with a Savox 1256. I didn't bother waiting to see how long it would take to fail. |

I've always run Hitec HS-7950THs, I've beaten the hell out them and never broke one. Every once in a while I wish I had more like 600oz/in of torque, but that's not very often. Poking around a bit, it looks they they may have been discontinued, perhaps replaced by the D951TW. If I needed a new servo I'd probably be looking at the Promodeler 470 V4, heard nothing but great things about those. Last edited by HahnsB2; 03-30-2019 at 09:04 PM. |

Going to +1 promodler servos. I put a 420v3? (whatever the previous generation was) on my bomber, running at 6v, plenty of power never an issue, stripped the splines right out of a few aluminum servo horns too!
