Default Drivetrain noise

Recently I purchased my bomber kit and this is my first solid axle rc. Build went smooth but I do notice the drivetrain is noisy. Everything works smoothly with no binding but since this is a first for me I’m not sure if it’s normal or not? It doesn’t sound like grinding or anything so I’m assuming it’s normal.

Check Spur and pinion gear mesh. If the mesh is too tight, it can and will make noise.

To add to the pinion and spur answer, I had a cheapo aluminium pinion set that was really noisy, probably from bad tolerances in the teeth. I ran a few packs through it, still loud. Once I figured out the size I liked I ordered a real one.
Is it doing it with the motor disconnected? In reality if there's no binding it probably won't be an issue. Well hopefully anyways

Pinion spur mesh is okay. Can the pinion mesh in the axles be adjusted?

You can adjust the mesh in the diff with 5mm ID shims, its not something thats included with Axial kits though.

I noticed the same thing and think in my case it is because the tooth pitch is not perfectly concentric to the shaft bore.

If I rotated the wheels slowly I could hear the noise coming and going as the spur gear rotated the motor pinion.

I think the spur gear is the main culprit and found that the Axial 56T metal spur gear was eccentric, the 64T and 56T less so.

Of all my pinion/spur combinations the 13/56 is the quietest running.
