| Set up w/ mamba x and 3800kv motor
I'm switching over to a Mamba X ESC and castle 3800kv brushless sensored motor. Anyone else running this set up. Provided gearing chart doesn't list any axial rigs but seems to suggest I should only run with 2S lipo or risk damage (based on instructions for similar sized rigs), which seems a bit disappointing. 3S will litterally do cartwheels. I put a 3300 in my RR10 Bomber and it is stupidly fast, still crawls. Great electronics, especially the 'race/crawl' modes on the third channel. I run 2S unless I want to burn rubber. Try it out. |

Same setup here and I ended up running 2s instead of 3s. 3 was just way too fast and roached my spur within about 10 mins. Running robinson steel gears now.

Oh dear! I've got my telemetry dialled in for the Sidewinder so I really have to mean it if I want to bash! Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk |

I run this in my Bomber Castle Mamba Monster X ESC Castle 1410 3800Kv Sensored Brushless Motor HotRacing Steel Pinion 32P 16T HotRacing Steel Spur Gear 32P 68T Axial 2-speed Transmission with Hi-Speed Option 3S 35C battery It's pretty fast but not crazy fast. Definitely need to slow down to corner but still very crawl capable but its lowered a bit with powersrtroke shocks and also has an anti-sway bar. 11.5 mph in low / 19.6 mph in high |

I'm running Mamba X with Castle 3800 in my X4. 45/9T. I prefer just to crawl and the setup works just fine.

I ran a mamba x with a 1410 3800kv and it was fast but I don't remember it crawling very well at all tho.

| Re: Set up w/ mamba x and 3800kv motor It was hard to crawl with my setup above, but once I adjusted the throttle curve, its easy. Instead of a 1:1 (45 degree) line, I set mine to an exponential shape so more initial throttle produced less power and made it easier to crawl

Maybe I'll try it again some day, that motor has since been installed in my short course truck. My current set up is: Mamba X and ROC412 3100kv, also running a SSD 2 speed on 11.1v (3s) |

I still haven't run it on 3S yet. I'm still waiting for a C-link so I can program an motor cutoff temp. But even on 2S it's pretty fast. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk |

Running the same set up in mine. Has plenty of her up and go, but can still crawl. I do need to adjust the throttle curve though.

I was running a Mamba X and a HH puller pro 3500 xl on 3s. I pulled it after breaking the f axle and the r axle 2 days later. Going back to the HH trail master sport 21t and HW 1080 esc. It was wicked. I thought about putting my aluminium ar60 axles on it. Duratrax 2.2 showdowns were not the tire for that set up either.

2s was slow/boring. Mamba X and the 3500 is an outstanding combo but not for me in the bomber. Tune yes I could have but I have other plans for that combo. I really like the 21t in the bomber. No worries if it gets messed up it's only $20. I have the Redcat Gen8 17t motor in the bomber now. 17t just wasn't as smooth as I wanted in the trail truck. Gen8 got a 27t 550 trailmaster sport. |
