Currie antirock issues
 

Hey guys can someone help me figure out how to re-install this thing? I took it off to replace some stuff and cant for the life of me remember how to set it up.

Perfect! Just what I needed. Hard to find in all the builds of which ones use it and which ones dont.

New question, how can I remove slop in my drivetrain? if I have it sitting on a level table I can move it back and forth a good inch.. inch and a half before it catches again.

You can use shims in the axles if they are loose. You can tighten the spur and pinion if they are loose. If it's in the transmission you can buy a new one and hope it's better.

2 speeds generally have more slop.

I've never seen a RC tranny that doesn't have some slop in it, its just the nature of gears. EDIT: my RTR thats seen less than 6 outings will also roll about 1" before engaging so that sounds pretty normal. (you can probably ignore my ramblings below)

If you want to track down where this slop is specifically coming from you can start by holding the driveshaft still while you spin a tire (for the front end and then the rear). that will show you how much play is in the axle and driveshaft. Hold the pinion/driveshaft still to isolate just the axle while spinning a tire.

Then spin the driveshaft and either pay attention to the sound of the spur gear contacting the pinion (or pull the cover off and just look at it) spin it back the other way till it makes contact again. This will show you the slop inside the tranny and driveshaft.

Spin the driveshaft (while holding the ends) to feel the slop in it.

Certainly a good place to start! I imagine there isnt much one could do with the trans but I plan on upgrading the axles a bunch with FL spools and shafts and aluminum bits.

Just got the last blue shock mount in from Boom racing. Just set it up similar to stock till I get my new shocks.
