Interesting. Never heard of it before but I just got a bunch of hop up parts so Ill add it when I rebuild the rig. Should I worry about anything with it esc wise? or more so, things to prevent breaking it?

youll either need an external BEC to handle the power itll draw, or if you have a good esc like a Mamba X or an RX4 then itll have a good enough internal BEC inside it already. what esc do you have? Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk |

Holy crap that's an awesome servo. I'd never heard so I had to look it up. 944 ozin @ 6.6V 1027 ozin @ 7.4V Runs on up to 8.4V that's a damn nice servo! https://www.rcmart.com/futaba-hps-a7...-a700-00081318 |

I've been happy with the A700 in my Capra (previously in my MOA) for the last year or so. Runs pretty similar to my 2290sg. It has recently begun twitching just as it moves away from center, not sure what that's about, but it still swings the car around. Though they were marketed towards giant scale airplanes, they're still just a standard size servo so there's no issues using it in a surface vehicle instead. They say not to run them from a BEC, but that's likely because they draw more amperage than MOST bec's put out, I've been running mine from a CC 10a bec the entire time and have NEVER had a brown out. A MambaX won't have any problems powering that.

That particular servo has more torque than just about any other 1/10 servo. Add in legendary Futaba quality and you've got a real winner. Cherish it.

Just a quick word of caution. For those of us that may get a servo occasionally wet, this servo does not appear to be waterproof. Used many high torque, high speed, precise Futaba servos over the years in giant scale airplanes. Great servos. No reason that they couldn't work in RC crawling applications where you keep them dry. |
