Default Any way to get a hardcase 50C 3S LiPo to fit in my RR10 Bomber

I'm trying to fit my Dynamite Reaction2 5000mAh 3S 50C LiPo battery but it's a little too big for the battery tray. Has anyone been able to get one to fit?

The battery tray isn't very easy to mod.
Sadly you need another LiPo.

The venom 3s 3300mah hardcase fits perfectly

Thanks.

I put in a 130A ESC so sadly a 35C LiPo isn't going to work well for me. I'll have to look into my options. It looks like the Spektrum 3S LiPos should be just thin enough to fit

The ESC amps has nothing to do with the battery C rating...
It's a crawler not a tekno race buggy. You don't need fast drain and huge punch like racers.

It will never pull that much amps from rock crawling and trailing

I've got multiple hardcase 3S and 4S LiPos that fit my Bomber - 4300mAh 40C constant/80C burst 3S, 3600mAh 60C constant/120C burst 4S - both from SMC.

Never had any issues, and my Bomber is a sassy fat pig chock-full of heavy metal upgrades...

I'll look into SMC. Thanks.

I'm building mine to drive fast and crawl, like the actual 4400 class rig, so it's going to be full throttle at times. Right now I have the motor and gearing pretty good for what I'm looking for on 2S, but I'm looking to up the voltage for a little more speed. Right now it's got a 1900kv 4274 Spektrum motor, same one as in the Lasernut, and a 130A ESC. Dual rear shocks eventually to control the torque twist. Final drive ratio of 21.33 and motor timing at 18.75 degrees. Things gonna be pretty alright

The battery holder is adjustable . Mine came stock in the narrowest position . Two screws visible in the bottom with the battery out .

Right I had the tray opened all the way but my 3S was still barely fitting. I just upped the final drive and it's fast enough now on 2S

You can use a 3300mah 3s hardcase. I use a venom and it fits perfectly.
Run time is about the same as a 5000mah 2s.

I can run 2hrs of wood trails and be tired before I swap my 2nd battery in...

Ive been using some goldbat 4500mah 3s packs and they fit perfectly. nice and snug but not tight. they are cheap batteries but they have treated me good so far

If anyone is interested , i tried some li ion 2s packs yesterday on my bomber . It is stock except for the hobbywing fusion 1800kv motor and a 13 tooth pinion . I chose samsung 40t 21700 4000mah cells for their 35a output ability . It hit cutoff ( set to 3.2v ) after about 90 minutes non stop running . Mostly low throttle steep rock climbing and some trailing . The battery stays at room temp while the motor only just warm .This pack weighs 130g versus 240 for the lipo i used before . I'm new to crawlers but like this combo a lot . I have been using li ions for a while in other stuff and solder my own packs without any balancing plugs .

I never heard of anyone overheating LiPos in a crawler...

I use a venom 3300mah 3s 35C in my bomber. I can run 2+hrs or wood trails on a hobbywing 1080, Holmes trailmaster Sport 550 21T and low 11T pinion.

You might have an issue elsewhere, like that crap Hobbywing fusion...

It's tiny...
It's the size of a 550 motor but the ESC is inside.
You are much better with a quality motor and a hobbywing 1080 ESC. The fusion is made for trucks with no space or ultra-realist scake

Get a separate ESC like the Hobbywing 1080. Then buy the longest motor you can fit. I use Holmes Hobbies Trailmaster Sport or crawlmaster sport.
They are 20$ but perform like motors 4x the price.
550 21T on 3s if you can fit it is very fun
