Default TINY's Building a Bomber. PIC HEAVY!

I've got some stuff on order for it coming in soon. I ordered a Holmes Hobbies 21T 550. A HobbyWing 1080 ESC. A 10 tooth pinion. And a Gens Ace 2200 3s battery. Soon I'm getting a bigger lipo this thing is tiny...LOL
I'm also going to be getting the Incision links. And new clear body panels to do my own paint job on.
BUT... The first thing I had to do was get rid of that spare tire and tire mount. Then I added a 1/10 scale engine I got off eBay for like 27-28 dollars. It's a Ford 427 SOHC. I think it's a very cool addition to the look of the bomber.
They have LS and a regular-looking Chevy 350 too. But I went with this one.

Got some parts in today. I got them put in wired up and buttoned-down and put back together. Then I remembered...I forgot to program the ESC...lol
What's everybody running their 1080 at program-wise? I'm looking to crawl and trail run.

Can’t help you with HW programming as I’m a Castle guy. My Bomber is running a Mamba Monster X with green Castle 3800kv motor.

I was just gonna comment that your motor looks amazing! Is that 3D printed?

Nope I got it off eBay. Just search 1/10 scale engine and they'll pop up.

I ordered the Incision links and a new clear body to try my hand at a custom paint job. It's not going to be a crazy paint job but not just one color. Maybe...

Part of my order came in today. A rear lower link plate kit from Axial. I'm going to stripe off the grayish coating and get them to a bare metal look.

Rear lower link plates are stripped of the grayish-green coating. And look brushed aluminum now. Here's a look.

Got some new wheels for it today. The other ones that were on it were pretty deep and made the track width a little narrow. These new ones push it back out closer to stock width if not wider. Next up is a rear swaybar. It should be here any day now.

Got the rear sway bar in today. I had to flip the arms over and run the bolts through from inside out to get it to clear the cage but it works. And still has some good flex.

NEW SHOES! I haven't even had it out on the rocks yet. And it's already got some new shoes... The Falken wild peaks weren't looking the way I thought they should look. So I went with Pit bull Rock Beast II. They're taller and wider and they look awesome on it.

I FINALLY got the radiator in for the Bomber.
Got the lower mounting points cut off and the rest of them will be hidden under the electric fans. I'm going to mount it with the top mounts to the rear light bar.

Well, After letting it sit after building it and then thinking about selling it. I finally took it and ran it. Took it on a trip with me to Ohio and then took it to a Fossil hunting park to run it. It ran like a Champ. It climbed just about anything I pointed it at. It has great low down control and PLENTY of wheel speed when you need that extra bump to get up on something. I'm more than happy with the way it turned out.

How well does it work with that motor combo? Looking to make some changes to one of my v1 bombers. Stock motor just way too slow even on 3s. I do want to retain good crawling control and also some decently fast trail running. My second bomber had the 2 speed trans and a traxxas 550 titan and stock esc still. That's ok on 2s so far. I'm pretty familiar with he 1080 and the HH motors have several 550 5 slots but have not tried a torquemaster yet. Did the 550 fit ok?
