Looks fantastic! don't rush them it's better to get it right the first time than to try and fix preventable problems later.

Exclamation And so it begins......

Finally got enough parts in to start my SCX10 build.

Started with the shocks. Build them basically how you would any standard shock. Install the bottom E-clip onto the shock shaft, drop the shock piston on and snap the 2nd E-clip into place. Lube up the shock shaft O-rings with a little grease, install the first one into the shock body, set the plastic spacer in place, then install the 2nd O-ring and thread the lower cap on. Now slide the shock shaft into place, install the bump stop on the shaft, snap the ball stud into place, thread the rod end onto the shock shaft and install the pre-load collar onto the shock body. Fill the shock with oil, cycle the shock a few times making sure you let any air bubbles dissipate, install the O-ring in the shock cap and thread it onto the shock body. Using the supplied 2mm cap head screw attach the shock reservoir to the shock cap. Install the shorter spring first, then the spring retainer, then the longest spring and finish it off with the lower spring retainer.

We're so excited to have an excellent quality, mass-produced scale chassis coming ot the market! Awesome shocks too, nice and narrow. Great work Axial- you guys are making this hobby more and more user friendly by the week!

Time to assemble the frame. Easiest thing to do is tie everything to one frame rail, then bolt the opposite rail on after you're done. Install the tranny after all the cross bracing and chassis skid are in place. Here's a few more pics as it goes together......

looks very sharp.
i agree with what everyone says here, thanks for offering us a cost effective alternative so us lil guys can hang with the big boys
i was looking at a 1.9 project down the road, and this would be the perfect foundation.

thank you.

I love Axial as much as the next guy for making turnkey crawling a reality, but I gotta throw a flag. Fake reservoir shocks??? Thats extra cheesy! Everything else looks awesome, Carry on!

Yes you can adjust the wheelbase, the shock towers have multiple shock mounting positions, and the rear tower can be moved on the frame as well.

Not exactly sure off hand, I'll have to get more of the build done first. You will need to change/use/build different links to adjust the wheelbase though. Building it box stock gives you about an 11 1/2" wheelbase.

Will all these parts be available before the release of the RTR? Those shocks are sweet.
