Zukmans SCX10

I thought I would post up a few pics of my SCX10. Nothing special, I plan on a different body in the future so I didn't spend any time on this one. The kit goes together very nice I was more impressed with it than the comp rig. I modified the wheels and stripped and painted the rings. It comes with the upgraded lockers and a slipper. Pretty good deal for a scale project and I would recomend it.

Thanks.

I have a hook up :) I got the AX10 the day they were released also. The kit is very nice.

I am building a Toyota right now and was getting tired of not having a 1.9 so I thought this would help me be more motivated to work on the other rig."thumbsup"

rctrav27 01-24-2009 08:31 PM

62PYRO 01-24-2009 08:36 PM

11.4 inches is what the manual said.

nice pics, i wish i had a hook up at axial. i can't wait to get mine, the only reservation i have about this kit is the battery mounting position. did you try the front position and do you think there might be issues with putting it in the front if you run another shell? it looks like the supplied one has quite a high hood and i'm hoping it won't be a problem if i were to go with tamiya's hilux shell. thanks for sharing your pictures! "thumbsup"

The front position still keeps the battery fairly low, but higher than the rear. With the lipo I have in it the shock towers would be level with the top of the battery. I am building a toy using a hi lux body and I sat it on the axial chassis, I have the cab back in it and I would recomend swapping the skid plat and running the tranny hte other direction if you ran a hi lux body. I am thinking about a rover body or something else hard body.

Hey did axial narrow the axles? I havent seen or heard anything on this so I thought Id ask.

No, the axles are teh same. They have a really narrow aluminium hex. The tires are half covered on a hi lux body and they fit perfectly under the jk body. The setup is good for a mild scale trail rig. I was just thinking I should order up a clod body for it.

TLTkrawl 01-25-2009 09:51 AM

Looks good i really like that chassis.

SAL45 01-25-2009 11:21 AM

Nice job "thumbsup" I can't wait to get mine! Do the shocks still have the 'piggyback' like in the promo photos? Yours look like the standard ones that come on all the Axial kits.
