I always liked the Honcho, so turned my Wrangler into one. My son is into Jurassic Park right now, so painted this one up and cut the interior out of my Wrangler body for the inside. Last edited by cjhike; 04-22-2015 at 04:14 PM. |

Pretty much stock Power Wagon. I did take out the rubber bump stops in the rear shocks and remove the rocker guards. Just did the flatbed today...needs final touch ups and paint. Looking to get the King Shocks (100's & 110's) to give a little extra articulation over the stock ones. I got about 4.5" on the ramp which isn't bad, but I have noticed the stock set up has it's limitations for droop in the rear and up travel in the front. Got to test out the new set up today. This was a stock rig except for relocating the battery and adding the flat bed before, now it has 100mm King Shocks, Axial metal links, four linked the front, Gear Head shock position brackets...I am very pleased!!!! I have about 5.5" of flex and a low COG...I definitely think this setup gives a very usable amount of articulation while keeping the COG manageable. Now I am looking for some rock lights and forward facing lights to wheel at night. Possibly looking to re-gear with a new pinion...still running a stock electronics and motor. And here is a cool edit of the first pic... Finally got around to painting the flatbed black...man it looks way better. BTW this is in my front yard. Talk about good wheeling close to home. 8-) Yup....finished my painting and put the some new decals on it. Also took off the bed portion because it kept getting hung up on the rear bumper...going back to the drawing board for it. I am diggin the black a lot better than the factory red for sure!!! Got my kiddo one so we can wheel together.... Time for doing things to his I wished I had done differently on mine!! Took the Honcho bed off and decided this looks better... Just took a piece of plastic and mounted it to the shock towers then attached the spare tire carrier to that. The chain is just scale accessory, no real purpose.
