havent sold it yet, but i need too! got the axles and trans built. as awesome as this kit is...axial really skimped on the shocks. they arent smooth and look really cheap. the plastic slider that separates the two springs actually slides over the threads for the adjusting collar during some of the stroke = not smooth i still LOVE the kit

I had been wondering about the shocks myself. In reality though, if they skimp anywhere, I prefer the shocks. In my experience shocks are one of the first things I upgrade on my rc's. Got my kit on the way from RPP and excitement is building.

They did not skimp on the quality but as I soon found out, they are non-operational reservoirs. So I just left mine off and built plain shocks for now.

have you tried swapping the springs to get the slider away from the threads?

i thought about that, but the longer spring on top would put the collar under the shock body, which would be worse.

its a roller now. i forgot how long it takes to build a kit, lol. i re mounted the battery plate on the front which is alot lower than stock and mounted the receiver box lower....

good point about the collar coming up against the shock body, that would definitely be worse. does mounting the electronics box and battery plate that low get in the way of suspension travel and the steering servo? also, what kind of electronics are you going to run?

ive been slacking on this build, but got alot done todayi fabbed up a servo mount to the frame. all i did was notch the battery plate and it works very good. i wanted to lay the servo flat under the battery plate, but i couldnt make it work to my likeing. i does have a little bump steer...oh well Click the image to open in full size. what color should i paint this body? i wanted to do it tan, but cant find the right color for lexan...

yep...motor over the right front. should help a little with the twisti never liked the battery on the rear or high up on the front so i rearranged everything i mounted the receiver box to the rear crossmember. my maba will be mounte dbehind the receiver box and theres enough room on the battery plate for a 3 cell.

i still need some color ideas...
