Default compared to the ax-10 w/ x-trail chassis

How does this truck compare to the ax-10 with a x-trail chassis. I mean on price, looks, performance, and anything else anyone can think of?

I have both so here is my $.02

Price - If you buy the AX-10 kit + the X-Trail + 1.9 wheels and tires, it will end up being a lot more than just buying the SCX-10 kit. You can always buy 2.2 wheels and tires for the SCX and it would still be cheaper, depending on your choice of parts, of course.

Looks - If you make it really scale and build sliders, wheel wells and bumpers, you can't really see the frames, but IMO the SCX looks a lot better being a C-channel frame with "shock hoops."

Performance - You can get both to perform the same by setting them up right.

Anything else - There are more body mounting choices "in the box" of the SCX kit than the AX. You really can't go wrong with Axial's new scale kit.

I have both and both are nice!
Both perform really great, but I like the looks of the axial better
But either way you will be happy

I just got done building mine last night and this is one of the things that impressed me the most. Axial gave you a lot of options for mounting all types of bodies. I had been concerned that it was all designed to only accept lexan bodies but after seeing all the other parts they give you I think most bodies will work with ease.

So far I am thoroughly impressed with this kit minus a few minor gripes.
