Default Bastard Jr. SCX10

So a buddy of mine bought two SCX10's and was just using the trans and axles out of the second kit and a wheel and tire for his spare, so I picked up the rest of the kit from him for pretty cheap. I already have and extra trans and set of axles so all I need is one wheel and tire and it's a complete kit again. (If anybody has an extra stock SCX10 wheel and tire hit me up!!!)

Anyways, I was planning on building the kit up with a Hilux body, but I since I don't have one of those right at the moment I figured there had to be a way I could get my BJ chassis to bolt up. Yup, it bolts right up for the most part! All I really need to do is make a support bracket for the upper link mount and this thing is going to be ready to rock!

Plans as of right now...
BJ Chassis
SCX10 for most everything else
35t or Puller 7t if it will fit
3s lipo
Servo?

Pretty much it will be my little 1.9 rock racer.

Here's were it's at right now...
(Sorry for the crappy pics, my camera is giving up on life)

Yes and no, the regular ax-10 kit uses completely different link lengths and mounting positions. The SCX10 is about an 11.4" wb.

Nope, Aaron "Bastard" designed the chassis and it is now produced by RCP Crawlers. Dirk has the link to the chassis in his post.

Little more progress before I head out to the indoor comp tonight...

...as you can see the 7t Puller fits in there quite nicely.

The C Channel chassis is just waiting until I get a Hilux body or the new Wrangler body.

Well I just picked up an OG Mountaineer body from Just Zach a couple minutes ago, so this little thing might be shorted lived.

I'll still finish building it up and beat on it though before it gets torn down. I'll make sure to take some good action shots too.

So when are you getting the right hood for this thing? Its just not the same buggy without the hood.
The wheel base does look spot on though.

I agree, this flat hood kills the look of the buggy. We need hoods Brian!!!!
With the shorter wb and the the 1.9's this thing should look pretty freakin scale to Aaron's buggy.

So are you going to pin strip it and lay down some metal flake blue? That would be sweet!

Not sure yet, although that would be pretty sweet!
I may go all blacked out with white panels like my Wreckluse, we'll see.

Some more progress pics.
I couldn't find any 1.9 Flat Irons locally so I made a set out of some M3 2.2's I had. I think they turned out pretty good and they're the same width and height as the 1.9's. I also picked up some blacked out wheels from the lhs since black wheels are the only way to go.
