| "BAD APPLE" scx10-blackfoot extended cab
I have it just about finished...needs some wet sanding, and rear windows, but i think it turned out pretty good since it is just styrene instead of cutting up 2 cabs. I'm not sure what tires i like on it better the stock prolines or the rc4wd mud slingers? I had to make a mount for the 3 racing winch, but i love the way it looks with the bumper. It has a Novak rooster and 55 combo in it and i'm running it with a traxxas 3 channel so i can run the winch. one side has the prolines on it, and the other is the mud slingers, any input is appreciated! |

Looks good!! I would stick with the prolines. They look better IMO. Have you thought of running a straight bed like a B/F extreme bed??

I would if i could get ahold of just a bed, i didn't want to spend a ton on this body, thats why i streched it with styrene instead of cutting up another body. BUT if i got a decent deal on a b/f extreme, i would probibly cut this one up again, and make a quad cab, dually out of them. |

That would look sick. I didnt even notice it was styrene. I thought you cut another cab. I was too busy checking out the pics to read..LOL I love the old Blackfoot builds. Guess I should pay more attention. Great work!!!! By the way here ya go for the body. Tower is going to carry them for $17.99. Its the extreme but if you just want the bed it should work. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGHL5&P=7 Last edited by drtrydr2000; 03-10-2009 at 09:56 PM. |

I would personally go for a drop bed. Im not a big fan of toppers but thats just me. It would look great either way. I might have a bed from a blackfoot to part with for next to nothing here soon. I picked up a King Blackfoot but I am either going to go flatbed or modify an F-350 bed I have so I can use it on my SCX. I'll hook ya up if I dont use it. Anyway yeah in my opinion definatly a drop bed.

nice build! drop the bed! no cap. body seems a bit high, which may get worse if you drop the bed. I liek the flatirons but they are too big for this body IMO. The slingers look better on this body. front bumper looks too low too. I love the ford builds... (mine) |

thanks pablo, love your truck. I'm in the process of making a new bumper mount, but it's a bit tricky with the winch mount too.

I hear ya. if you add lights use the RAM square lights up front. they almost fit perfectly. mine are held on with hot glue. tail lights are tough with the little bed lights. but if you build a new taillight out of styrene that is hollow and has a back you could fit a light in there. |
