Maxxxmasher's beat-up Bronco SCX - lovin' this truck!

I've had my eyes on this since it came out. I finally got one! I was going to do a build thread, but we've all seen how it all goes together by now. Besides, I got the truck on Thursday and I had to have it all complete by Sunday morning and ready to trail run with my buddy. Oh yeah, I had to work Friday and host a comp at my store on Saturday. A lot of midnight oil burning and a few cans of Monster this is what I came up with...

SCX kit - with AX-10 shocks drooped and swapping the battery mount
Parma Bronco body - dents made with torch
Pro-line lights, rack, and scale accessories
Novak 45T motor
Traxxas XL-5
Spektrum 3-channel receiver - Slash receiver box
MaxAmps 4700 NiMh Battery
Traxxas 2070 Waterproof servo
New Brite mirrors and stereo components
Parsec car interior
Adding Western bumpers, headlights, snorkel, and putting LED's in the Proline lights

You even got fold away mirrors, sweet! I think my stock axial body would give you a run for your money though. I've almost got one fender tore off the thing! I like the torch idea for a beater body, looks authentic.

I used a mini-torch to soften spots up, then pushed them to make dents. I also cut up the fenders with scissors and heated up the edges and bent them a bit. After I did that, I painted the spots with Tamiya Red-brown paint with a brush to simulate rust. Then I painted the body as usual with Parma Faskolorand my Badger airbrush.....

I love all the small details to your truck. A cool looking rig doing what it was made to do. Keep hitting the trails."thumbsup"
