Default Missing 2 Shock O-Ring Washers - Will It Matter If I Leave Them Out?

Hey,

First of all, it's not Axial's fault - totally mine - long story, irrelevant.

I'm missing two washers - the ones that fit in between the o-rings in the bottom of the shocks (part #AX80032)

Stupid questions --> could I possibly damage my shocks if I have to build two shocks without these o-ring washers? Will the shocks leak if I don't put these washers in?

Thanks
s

Shaft might bind also, but won't hurt anything.
You MAY be able to use the washers from the Traxxas shock rebuild kit & it work as a replacment.

wont hurt a thing other than the shock will leak like a MOFO and youll be replacing oil every run go to ur lhs and get a pack of the o-rings and youll have some extras when needed

Would it help if I put them in upside down - &/or - didn't fill them w/shock oil?

Could I use the shocks from my Venom Creeper? I think they're too long.

The oil would still pump out & would also leak out when the rig is on it lid.
You may be able to use the parts/washers from the Creeper shocks.

The Venom Creeper shocks are WAY too long.

The similar part in the Creeper shocks won't work either.

So, how bad would it be to use it with two shocks that had no oil in them - how would it affect performance? Would that damage anything?

Then, I guess I'll put the two dry shocks on the back and make the best of it. I'll put a few drops of oil in them to lube the insides a little, but not enough so that they'll leak out.

Does anyone have a recommendation for parts - where should I go to get the plastic tree that has these washers on it - part #AX80032

Thanks

TCS has them. TCS is super fast and doesn't screw you on shipping either.

I actually should have 2 spares of these washers from the kit I could give you just pay shipping.

On page 6 of the SCX manual, it indicates that there are supposed to be 2 AX80032 plastic trees in the bag - there was only one.

That's the last time I'll ever buy ANYTHING from that damn company again.

There's no way now I can finish this crawler and go to the event tomorrow.

Axial sucks.
