| Brandon's SCX10 RTR Trail Ready Build
Axial brought their SCX10 RTR to Worlds 2009 at Donner and we had a blast driving it on some of the best terrain in the world. Lots of competitors and spectators had a chance to get some time behind the wheel, it was great to see everybody impressed. Figured I would share a few of my favorite shots from the weekend. |

The second pic down is awesome. That terrain looks perfect for scale shots.

| Yes, but remember this is a scale truck with smaller tires. The abuse is minimal compared to a 2.2 comp rig and they hold up just fine on the RTC. Thank you. Quote:
Street price will be less. I started wiring them up last night, with all the features and lights included in the kit plus the lights that come on the RTR this rig is going to look like a Christmas tree In a good way of course. Even the blinkers work when you steer!! | |

So on Friday I received the new lexan light buckets that will be included with the Dingo body when purchased separately. I spent a little time this weekend installing them on the pre painted RTR body. 1. I had to remove the stickers and cut out the area for the light bucket out of the body. 2. I had a few directions I could have gone. First thought was to clean up the cuts and glue in a sheet of lexan with the light buckets glued in behind that to give the illusion of the body clear in that area. Second thought was to use some diamond plate styrene in front with the flat lexan and light bucket on the inside of the body. I went with option 2. 3. I cut out the light buckets and painted them chrome and black. I also cut some flat lexan slightly larger than the hold to mount inside the body. Then the diamond plate styrene was cut for the outside to fit the shape of the body and the hole big enough for the light buckets. 4. I painted the styrene and bolted everything together with M2 Hardware. This was a better solution than gluing everything and it gave it a nice finished look with the diamond plate. Finished product! |

Can't wait to see what else is done to this. I need a set of those bumpers badly . I have a jeep build I am doing and those are the bumpers that will finish it off. |
