On Sunday, we did a little playing around.... and I broke off a shock tower. Fixed with zip ties so I could still play around though. Last edited by Locked Up; 04-26-2016 at 06:49 PM. |

Making some updates to the H2. Got weeds? Dang, I am bad about maintenance. So job#1 is to fix a few things. Issues I am aware of are 1 loose driveshaft and broken shock tower. I mention the driveshaft because I don't even remember that coming loose? Eric? Easy enough to fix and added loctite. Should keep it in place. The shock tower ...yes I did an on trail repair with zip ties. Sue me. To replace the broken part I had modified, I made up some shorter towers so that I would not have to modify more stock plastic parts. These could have been a bit taller for this particular application but for mass production I think these will benefit more people. We will see. Anyway here are the replacement parts. Before I get to the shock tower install ... I have also decided to swap on some new wheels and tires. Anyone want some custom 2.2s? Only 8 in existence. Wheels? Something that we will be releasing when I get a chance to upload some pictures. Adversary 8L with a gold finish, Black Agile rings with MCZ hardware. Going to do inner and outer rings because I have some left overs from an earlier project. Step one, buy a box.... No wait, that's something else. I started by inserting hardware into the rings. I find that this way if my tool slips I don't scratch a wheel. Next up I wrapped the front wheels with some of our segmented black weights. Then I drilled breather holes. Yes, I still do this. For the hardware on the inner rings, I decided to cut down some of our M2x7 screws because it's cheaper that way, I like using the dremel and I like to show you guys options. The alternative would be to just purchase some of our M2x1 screws. To cut the screws is pretty fast using a dremel. I tape some cardboard in my vice to protect the rings ... you could also just hold them but they do get hot and you have a greater risk of nicking a finger. That back side should be fairly flush but if not, it's easy to clean up with sand paper (or more dremel). And now for assembly... Last edited by Locked Up; 02-11-2017 at 07:43 PM. |

Wheels assembled in and out. Had to grab some of our narrow wheel hexes since I was removing the AO8 setup. I loved the look of the AO8s but we do not have them in the gold finish yet and I really, really love the gold finish! This is when I noticed a rod end out back needs some love. And WTF is going on here ... and where did the lock nut go?! |

| Re: Locked Up's SCX10 - Trail Ready H2 If you are serious, let me clean them up and see how they look. Otherwise they will end up on my Wraith. Last edited by Locked Up; 02-11-2017 at 11:09 PM. |

The benchtop poser shots were delayed while I tracked down an ESC problem. Seems my FXR decided to go haywire. Replacing it was easy enough, though I lost my waterproofing and had to reprogram it, which is a PITA! For my own future reference ... Throttle profile #1 is what I like. Anyway... I think they look good. Body just resting on top but gives you the idea... Last edited by Locked Up; 02-11-2017 at 11:40 PM. |

Looks sweet on there! As for the wheels don't really need another set unless its a stupid good deal. I do need to grab some of your black inner rings though. |

I love the 1.9's. The new gold is AWESOME! I just picked up a set of your wheels. My first big purchase other than the rig itself. You guys are in the business of high detailed scale rc for certain! I need some of those hubs |

More electrical gremlins today. BEC went out and with no replacement on hand I was very limited at todays outing. I may use this as an excuse to redo all the electrical. One more poser shot before it goes under the knife. |
