adjusting drivetrain
 

o.k. here it goes, i bought a blazer body for my scx10 (pro-line 3244-00). if my math is right that body is 273 mm. and my trucks wheel base is 289.5 mm so i bought 7x50 upper links and 6x74.5 lower links. factory upper links are 7x60 with a 6mm spacer between y link and the rear axel and the lower are 6x91 so i hope my math is correct with all of that if it is wrong some say something, any way now comes the question i want to put the new short links on the front so my " short" drive shaft will be in the front (like a real blazer would be) are there any down falls to moving the tranny mount foward in the frame. and hopefully by doing this i will get more foward weight, and keep the axel to frame relation the same, if i dont move the tranny foward then my frame will stick out from the front of the body.:idea: thank you for any input.

if the wheelbase is the same as the cgr version it should be 12.5 pro-line used to have that posted with each body but since they have changed sites i dont see that anymore. my ramcharger cgr is also 12.5 and all i did was add 4 of axials 25 mm spacers to the rear upper and rear lower links and it fits perfect. i didnt want to stretch the front as i plan on adding the hand bros steering kit and didnt want to mess up that geometry

as far as i can tell the cgr body has a longer wheel base than the scx and the regular blazer is shorter, i diddnt want to mess up the front axle to frame geom. either just the link length and shaft length, any way thanks i was trying it but there are just to many holes to close to each other so i couldnt do it the way i wanted. now i am buying a replacement frame .... oh well
