Slipper Clutch?

I was wondering if the majority of you guys are still running the slipper clutch on the scx-10? I know it adds to the fun of it but it gets annoying when it doesn't want to power through things. Especially in a comp situation.

Did you try tightening down the nut?

Yes I just checked the pad not not much grip! Just needed new pad.

With a new pad and proper tune, you should have plenty of torque (assuming everything else in your truck can deliver the goods)

I tighten mine down pretty much all the way. I rarely slip the clutch, and I'm probably saving something else from breaking when I do...

I have mine cranked all the way down, pretty sure the drive shaft will pop before the slipper will slip, I just try and be watchful about binding up on something

Never understood why anyone wouldnt want a slipper clutch. Beats breaking stuff.
