Default My first scale crawler

I picked up an SCX10TR as my first scale crawler and been working on mods mainly to the body.
So far I have added

3Racing winch
Pro-Line roof rack and tools HI LIFT jack
RPM Traxxas Slash roof mount light rack
Pro-Line light pods
Team-Go-Nad snokle for an 90 Defender body
Scale Offroad brand tow shackles (Germany)
Team-Go-Nad Slash 10 LED light set

I am planning on adding a set of LEDs to the body headlights
My tow shackles look small compared to the Pro-Line brand bumber shackles. Do they look OK? or are they to small?

I also modded a Traxxas Q3 radio with an 3 postion switch to control the 3Racing winch.
I also picked up a Clodbuster body and are planing to fit it to the TR

So waht do you guys think?

Looks good so far! I'm planning on getting a snorkel like that for mine and possibly the RPM light bar. Nice work!

Your truck looks great. How you running all the lights? I think the shackles do look alittle small but not to bad. Keep up the good work.

Couple of things.

Number one, it is too clean. Get some mud and rock rash and come back with pics.
Number two, you worried about those lights mounted on the bumper like that? I know my bumper takes some abuse on the rocks.
Number three, how are you powering all those lights? Is that just from the included light control box or did you come up with something more creative?

Other than that, looks great, love the snorkel!!!

I am not sure how they will last on the bumper.
As for the LEDs all I did was added in a servo Y harness and plugged it into the recivier port that the factory lights are plugged into.

How are you liking the stock electronics? Does the servo have enough power? Really interested in the wheelspeed of the stock motor and if it gives good torque for those hard spots.

Looks good! Don't let anyone tell you how to run or what to run when it comes to your truck. I like all the lights! Your truck looks very scale.

They suck I will be replacing them shortly. It's to fast for crawling I think but almost to slow for any real bashing.
If that makes sense.

No they dont, I have had a set using a 9v battery for almost a year and they are still going strong. LED's barely draw anything.

Dude nice truck and scale add ons. That is the coolest looking TR SCX10 I have seen yet. Good Job. Everything looks great! All you need is a driver and your set.

Don't let people sway you on what you should or shouldn't get, if you like it that is all that matters.
