Ya that is a head scratcher. But you basically put one side in and the bend it open untill the other side goes in. Have fun |

I always run my plastic yoke under hot water first to make it more plyable

Ok, I woke up this morning and popped the yokes on all my driveshafts in under 5 minutes. I figured out a super easy way to do it and they fell right in place. No heating with water or anything. Thank god for little screw drivers. Thanks ! RIZ |

I almost forgot my next question....... I've heard people leaving parts out off their shocks for better articulation..... I'm putting the shocks together right now..Is the part the shock damper .. part AXA1358 that you leave off ? RIZ |

Ok, a little farther along and another question.... the parts that go in the top and bottom eyes of the shocks...is the midlle round barrel part of it supposed to fit inside the eyes of the shocks? There are many parts of this that go in all of the link eyes too..... do they get tapped into the eyes so they go in half way with equal amounts poking out both sides of the eyes??? Thanks. RIZ |

I got them with gentle use of a pliars...... I'm on to the motor mounting as we speak. It's coming together nicely... It might be a long night tinkering with it. I'm really enjoying my first crawler build ! RIZ |

| Glad to hear it! BTW what i do for those end is grip tightly on the piece going into the end of the shock or rod, and then move the shock or rod and they pop right in! (dont grip the end of the rod with the pliers at all, just the inserted piece. easy peasy.) |

We all have our tricks that work. I like to put the ball that i am going to insert on a flat surface( something that you don't care about damaging. I use my workbench.) Push the rod/shock onto the ball by lining the ball up to the hole and pushing from the opposite side. Basically, the rod or shock will be at a 90 degree angle to the ball on the workbench. With a little practice, you might dig it too! I also do it this way because i am a brute when it comes to using pliers. I have thrashed a few shock ball mounts that were plastic. Now i have aluminum shocks and i would distort/dent or scratch the piss out of them for sure....LOL Peace, JB |

another way to put the driveshafts to gether is use the small tool that comes with almost all 1/10 Traxxas models. (Slash, Rustler Stampede)..it's a flat peice of stainless steel with a notch cut in it...it's made for pushing the yokes and drive shafts together.. |
