One nice looking rig. That should be fun to run around and bash with .

Thank you Duncan. I totally appreciate the comment!

This was my first attempt at making a steel cage and 2nd if you count the aluminum crappy one that failed(way, way too weak!)...I am going out Sunday to smash her around a bit. This will be her 2nd run. On my first run, the BEC fried 30 minutes into the fun!!!

Peace,

JB

Hey CruiserHead

The FJ is looking Great! I think the inside of tailgate looked cool with the foam. But I'm sure CNC'd Toyota gate will look sweet!

Brainless Bicep - LOL Thats a good name for him!

And, The rigs look sick on the rocks! Was that up at the grade?

I built a Honcho like bikeman, but mines Black. Need to get it up on the rocks when my new ESC arrives. The LRP in it now sucks since it has no drag and major delay for reverse. Not adjustable. Ordered a waterproof holmes though. Should be here soon.

Heres a couple picks of the Honcho crawlin on my backyard Mountain

Right on! I am a believer in those Honchos after seeing Bikeman's kill it! You have to come with us the next time we go. He was talking about another GTG this weekend so keep in touch and lets rock. The experience with the Honcho is making me really want one. I have a rig that fills my need for watching a slow scaler drive mellow, now its time for an all out performer...

What is that sh*t you made the hill out of? Caned spray foam?

Thanks Storm!

I installed the interior temporarily for a gtg this last weekend to see how it would work out. I need to finish the dash and figure out the best way to cover the tranny for realism. I have been really busy with school to work on the rig. Schools out for a bit this next Thursday, so i will put some time into it then....You are absolutely correct on the weight, the seats weigh next to nothing at all..... Although I really like how the seats came out, I am a crappy sculptor. I would love to to see what someone with a little bit of artsy talent can do with that foam!!!

Thanks again for the kind words...

Thank you Shadow. I am very happy with how it came out. On my first real outing i let it roll down a solid rock face for about 10 feet to test its strength. That solid 3/16 rod is tough as he11 for sure!

Technically, it is nice brazing ..I used Harris 56% silver solder and a torch with mapp gas.

Thanks for the comment and taking a look.

I will keep you in mind when i get that done. I am thinking that shipping back and forth might be expensive from 95124? My chassis is pretty heavy!

Thanks for the compliments, I always appreciate it.

Thank you very much!

I got the new tail gate done today on my last day of class. I have to wait until next lab (next week) to get the TOYOTA insignia CNC'd into the gate....I'll post pics later for a b4 and after!

Yep. That sh*t lookin substance is spray foam covered with bedliner and sand. Feeds the crawlin addiction when I have no time to go anywhere else. Here's a better pic of "Hell Mountain" Top of mountain is 7ft

Thinking I can go up to the grade tomorrow. I'll hit you up later this evening to make sure.

Been awhile since I posted anything here. All my links to the pictures were taken off? expired? Don't know....

Here are the newest pictures of my rig, I crushed the bed inward to narrow and beef it up the rear after a severe crash that broke some brazing points. Made a spare tire carrier as well. I finally got off my arse and built a full interior. Well, full enough for now!

Dash
Seats
Shifters
Seatbelts
steering wheel with turn indicator arm

Enjoy!
